Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2021 Entegra Aspire

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021 Entegra Aspire, Anthem, Cornerstone, and ReattaXL motorhomes built with Villa power seats. The power seat wiring may become chafed due to poor routing, and no protection, or melt from exceeding the 14 gauge wire amp capacity.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 379 units affected.

Description:: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021 Entegra Aspire, Anthem, Cornerstone, and ReattaXL motorhomes built with Villa power seats. The power seat wiring may become chafed due to poor routing, and no protection, or melt from exceeding the 14 gauge wire amp capacity.
Consequeces:: Damaged power seat wires may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Jayco will notify owners, and the dealers will inspect the seat wiring for loom protection and secure it with wire ties, free of charge. The remedy regarding the switch and exceeding the amp capacity is still under development. The recall began December 4, 2020. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137. 2021 ENTEGRA ASPIRE Complaints
Failure of adhesive that holds windows to frame. Had a window come separated from frame on 7/11/24 which fell from RV on the freeway and could have put other drivers at risk from falling glass. Second window adhesive failure on 3/11/25. Caused glass to become separated from frame. Did not fall off, but was hanging on by two screws to top hinge assembly. Manufacturer has denied responsibility to include our RV with a previous recall for the same issue. Recall#21V52900 Lippert case# 5696356, Entegra Case#5695734;
2021 ENTEGRA CORNERSTONE Complaints
I HAVE OWNED BOTH A 2019 AND THE NEW 2021 ENTEGRA CORNERSTONE MOTOR HOMES. ON BOTH MOTOR HOMES, THE DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF) SENSOR HAVE FAILED IN LESS THAT 2,000 MILES. WHEN DEF SENSORS FAIL THE ENGINE CAN GO INTO DERATE WHICH IS 5 MPH IN LESS THAT A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES. THIS PROBLEM IS LEAVING MANY LARGE DIESEL ENGINE OWNED VEHICLES STRANDED, FROM MOTOR HOMES TO LARGE OVER THE ROAD TRUCKS. I HAVE CONTACTED SPARTAN MOTORS THE MANUFACTURE OF THE CHASSIS, WHICH REFERRED ME TO SHAW DEVELOPMENT, THE MANUFACTURE OF THE DEF SENSOR. SHAW DEVELOPMENT REFUSES TO TAKE CALLS OR EMAILS REQUESTING INFORMATION REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. THE DEF SENSORS WAS A REGULATION PASSED BY EPA IN 2016, STATING THE DEF CONCENTRATION BE MEASURED IN THE DEF TANKS OF VEHICLES. HOWEVER THE DEF SENSOR MANUFACTURES CANNOT SEEMS TO MANUFACTURE A PART THAT WILL WORK AND NOT PUT ENGINE INTO DERATE. SHAW DEVELOPMENT IS CURRENTLY AT THE SIXTH GENERATION OF THE DEF SENSOR WHICH ARE STILL FAILING ON BRAND NOW 2021 YEAR MOTOR HOMES. THAT IS SIX ATTEMPTS TO MAKE A PART THAT CONTINUES TO LEAVE PEOPLE ON LONG TRIPS STRANDED. WITH ALL OF THE CONTACTS I HAVE MADE REGARDING THIS PROBLEM, NOTHING IS BEING DONE EXCEPT PASSING THE BUCK. THE DEF SENSOR BY SHAW DEVELOPMENT BEING PURCHASED BY SPARTAN MOTORS CHASSIS, INC ARE NOW ON THE SIXTH EDITION WITH THE FAILURE RATE CONTINUING.
