Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 GLC300, GLC350e, GLC43 AMG, and GLC63 AMG vehicles. The power steering control unit wiring harness may have been damaged during the production process, possibly resulting in a loss of power steering assist or an electrical short-circuit.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 2,533 units affected.

Description:: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 GLC300, GLC350e, GLC43 AMG, and GLC63 AMG vehicles. The power steering control unit wiring harness may have been damaged during the production process, possibly resulting in a loss of power steering assist or an electrical short-circuit.
Consequeces:: A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, If the wiring harness short-circuits, there is an increased risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the wiring harness, and replace it if necessary, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2020110012.

2020 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLC43 Complaints
2020 AMG GLC 43 coupe here in Harrison, NJ. My driving style with this vehicle isn't different in any relevant way versus with past vehicles. There is an acceleration dead spot which is the default occurrence when I am coasting at a low speed and then go to accelerate. Common scenarios are driving toward an intersection and rolling forward as you determine if you are clear to go and then accelerating, or slowing down to let a car in the lane next to you go by so you can then switch lanes and accelerate. I swear, I've almost gotten killed a few times when I had time to go but only if I hustled; depress the accelerator, and nothing happens for a full second. Then I go from having enough time to almost getting hit.;
2020 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLC63 Complaints
The contact owns a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC63. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at highway speeds, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated while the accelerator pedal was being depressed. The check engine warning light illuminated, and a message displayed on the instrument panel stated that the “Transmission Needs to Cool, Stop and Pull Over Immediately”. The contact stated that the vehicle had locked in first gear and decelerated to approximately 55 MPH. Additionally, the contact stated that his wife was able to navigate the vehicle back to the residence. The contact stated that the following day the contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it remained awaiting a diagnostic test. The vehicle had not yet been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.;
2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC 300 Complaints
My check-engine light recently illuminated, and diagnostic testing identified fault code P06DA00, relating to the oil pump control valve circuit. I have been quoted over $5,000 to replace the oil control valve and oil pump harness. I was quoted the following by Mercedes Servuce in Manchester, NH- Oil Pressure Regulator Valve: need to remove lower oil pan only to access oil control valve and replace the valve and sub harness. $5013.52. This is a known issue. My vehicle has been well maintained, and I have been advised that it is otherwise in excellent mechanical condition. I intend to keep and drive this vehicle for many more years, which makes it particularly disappointing to encounter a repair of this magnitude for a component that is not considered a routine maintenance or wear item.;
2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC 350 E Complaints
The seatbelt latch does not fully release when you press the red button. It needs to be wiggled and then it eventually does release. This is an ongoing issue.;
