Newmar Corporation is recalling certain 2020-2022 Dutch Star

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Dutch Star, King Aire, Essex, London Aire, and Mountain Aire motorhomes. The steering gear mounting bolts may become loose and back out, resulting in difficulty steering.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 253 units affected.

Description:: Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Dutch Star, King Aire, Essex, London Aire, and Mountain Aire motorhomes. The steering gear mounting bolts may become loose and back out, resulting in difficulty steering.
Consequeces:: Difficulty steering, or the inability to steer in both directions, can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: On behalf of Newmar, Shyft Group Inc. will coordinate the recall repair and notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering gear mounting bolts and washers, free of charge. The recall is expected to began April 19, 2021. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar's number for this recall is 21V 041.

2022 NEWMAR KING AIRE Complaints
The cargo door panel is set to fly off. The manufacturer, Newmar, is using 2 pieces of tape on the cargo bay door skin and it can fly off very easily. It's very dangerous and we are lucky we caught it before it flew off. There is another King Aire owner who warned us about it happening. His case number is 11661685.;
2022 NEWMAR LONDON AIRE Complaints
TPMS has not been functioning correctly since October 2021. The rear wheels will randomly loose communication causing the TPMS display form that tire to disappear. (No Pressure reading). I have taking it to the Dealer NRIVC in Atlanta, GA., they added a second antenna in the rear. This did not fix the problem. I then took the Coach back to the manufacturer Spartan; they moved the antennas to the outside of the vehicle frame. This also did not fix the problem. This is a safety problem as you cannot see if tire is losing pressure, and the pressures that you do see you cannot trust as the problem randomly will occur in all rear wheels.;
2022 NEWMAR MOUNTAIN AIRE Complaints
The driver's side wiper arm became loose and travelled around the driver's side front corner of the vehicle where it became stuck and motionless. The incident occurred during a rainstorm as I was passing a semi on I-95 going about 60 mph. The driver's vision was dangerously obscured by rain on that side of the windshield as it was not being removed by the stuck wiper blade. Passenger assistance was needed to avoid an accident while getting into a safer position to address the problem. I have read on the IRV2 Newmar Owner's Forum that this is not the first time such an incident has occurred. Evidently, the bolts that hold the wider arms in their correct position have a tendency to loosen causing the arm to travel to the side of the motorhome and become inoperable. A more effective mounting strategy would make operation of the wipers more reliable and the motorhome safer to drive in a rainstorm.;
