Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2019-2021 CLA-Class

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2019-2021 CLA-Class, GLE/GLS-Class, A-Class, E-Class, E-Class Coupe and Convertible, GLA/GLB-Class, GLC-Class, CLS-Class, and AMG GT-Class 4-door Coupe vehicles. Please refer to MBUSA's recall report for specific vehicle model details. The MBUX multimedia system software may cause the display to remain black, or reboot after startup. This could result in the rearview camera image not displaying properly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 343,191 units affected.

Description:: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2019-2021 CLA-Class, GLE/GLS-Class, A-Class, E-Class, E-Class Coupe and Convertible, GLA/GLB-Class, GLC-Class, CLS-Class, and AMG GT-Class 4-door Coupe vehicles. Consequeces:: A backup camera that displays a blank image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Corrective action:: The multimedia system software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning June 28, 2021. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6373. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2021050012.

The seatbelt latch does not fully release when you press the red button. It needs to be wiggled and then it eventually does release. This is an ongoing issue.;
2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLS 450 Complaints
AMENDMENT TO ACTIVE CASE 11723015. CRITICAL AIRBAG & SAFETY DEFECTS. This files a safety defect amendment to open case 11723015. Diagnostic scans confirm central data bus network collapse on VIN [XXX] has migrated into safety-critical occupant restraint and visibility modules, violating 49 U.S.C. § 30118. I. AIRBAG & RESTRAINT HAZARDS Scans from [XXX], document active faults: DTC U042782: "Implausible data received from Electronic Ignition Lock." The SRS module receives corrupted data from the failed ignition gateway, creating risk of airbag non-deployment. DTC B007A13: Passenger seatbelt pre-tensioner open circuit; occupants are unprotected against crash displacement. DTC B11FA4B: Active "Overtemperature" faults in heating elements indicate localized thermal short-circuit risk. II. HARDWARE DECAY Physical teardown confirmed structural oxidation on the central gateway motherboard and corroded connector pins. Modular swaps failed; network lock code U016887 returned within 8 months. Raw dealer records are available for federal inspection. 2020 MERCEDES-BENZ GLS 580 4MATIC Complaints
The fuel rail system failed on the passenger side of the engine and leaks. This is the same issue seen on, but VIN number isn't apart of it: Campaign No. : 2022030003 CA DMV. : 220303 NHTSA ID 21V961 I have taken the vehicle to a Mercedes dealer twice for the concern of smelling gas. The second time I had a video but the service tech couldn't replicate the leak. This safety concern pose a great risk as the gas could come into contact with a hot surface and ignite but passenger at HIGH risk. The problem has taken to the dealer twice with video showing the leak., however they cannot reproduced confirmed/replicate it. No the vehicle or component has not been inspected by the police, insurance representatives or others? But has been taken to the dealership, not the manufacturer. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear?Just when it leaks there is a strong gas smell as well as a visual of where the leak is coming from.;
2021 MERCEDES-BENZ A 220 4MATIC Complaints
My 2021 Mercedes-Benz A220 (M260 2.0L engine) triggered diagnostic fault code P052E, indicating a failure of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) regulator valve / intake line assembly. Failure of this valve disrupts crankcase pressure, causing unmetered air intake, lean-running conditions, and engine hesitation/stalling risks. Mercedes-Benz issued a 15-year/150,000-mile extended warranty campaign for this exact PCV failure on M274 engines, but has excluded M260 engines despite identical failure modes. The manufacturer has not remedied this known design defect, creating potential drivability and engine pressure hazards.;
