Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jayco Designer, 2017-2021 Eagle HT, Eagle, Jay Feather, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Flight, North Point, Octane Superlite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2017-2020 Eagle HT, 2018-2021 Jay Flight Bungalow, 2017-2019 Octane, and 2019-2020 Eagle HTX travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with a Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 87,649 units affected.

Description:: Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jayco Designer, 2017-2021 Eagle HT, Eagle, Jay Feather, Jay Flight SLX, Jay Flight, North Point, Octane Superlite, Pinnacle, White Hawk, 2017-2020 Eagle HT, 2018-2021 Jay Flight Bungalow, 2017-2019 Octane, and 2019-2020 Eagle HTX travel trailers and fifth wheels equipped with a Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulator. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.
Consequeces:: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Dealers will replace the regulator and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 3, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

2018 JAYCO TRAVEL TRAILER EAGLE Complaints
I was troubleshooting a short in the electrical trailer brake circuit and found the cause: the wire had fallen into a crack in the frame crossmember which was chewing on it. Upon further examination, several frame stiffeners/crossmembers had cracked almost entirely through on both sides of the trailer. They cracked because during manufacturing, some goober decided it'd be a good idea to cut 95% of the web of the C-channel away to make holes 10x as large as they needed to be to run wires and slide motors. According to the original owner, he took it from IN to FL twice and I put about 3k miles on it according to my records so it only has maybe 10k miles. Looking at the amount of rust and condition of the paint compared to the rest of the underside of the camper, it looks to have been broken almost as long as the rest of the camper. This issue HAS resulted in the loss of trailer braking on a 13k lb GVWR camper. This issue does cause loss of stiffness in the frame that COULD result in excessive flex causing damage to the camper while going down the road up to catastrophic failure of the frame.;
2021 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL EAGLE Complaints
The RV awning is separating at the seams on all 4 corners. If the awning continues to fall apart at the seam, it could cause the awning to fall or not roll in correctly and while traveling down the road it can become loose. It has been taken to a dealer and the confirmed it is coming apart at the seams. It has not been inspected by anyone else.;
2021 JAYCO FIFTH WHEEL NORTH POINT Complaints
The contact owns a 2021 Jayco Northpoint. The contact stated while inspecting the RV it was discovered that the rear driver’s side tire had experienced balding. After measuring the axle, it was determined that a 5/16-inch discrepancy on the driver’s side of the axle was present which caused the balding of the tire. The RV manufacturer and the axle manufacturer Dexter Axles were notified of the failure and the axle was replaced. The contact was not informed if the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V665000 (Suspension). The failure mileage was 3,300.;
