Chrysler is recalling certain 2020-2021 Dodge Challenger

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, and Chrysler 300 vehicles. During manufacturing, the windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 212, "Windshield Mounting."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 21,258 units affected.

Description:: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, and Chrysler 300 vehicles. During manufacturing, the windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach in a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 212, "Windshield Mounting."
Consequeces:: A windshield that separates from the vehicle during a crash can increase the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Dealers will remove and replace the front windshield urethane sealant, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 31, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US LLC's number for this recall is Y47.

2021 CHRYSLER 300 Complaints
The backup camera system malfunctioned, resulting in a blank or distorted display screen when the vehicle is placed in reverse. This system failure deprives the driver of rear visibility and disables the rear parking collision warning, creating a safety hazard when backing up. I previously brought the vehicle to an authorized Chrysler dealership while under factory warranty specifically to report this backup camera failure, but the dealership noted they "could not duplicate" the problem at that time. The camera was later replaced, but the same defect has reoccurred. Mopar portal records confirm the dealership service visits, and the vehicle is available for inspection upon request.;
2021 DODGE CHALLENGER Complaints
While operating my vehicle at road speed the electric steering rack failed. This rendered the steering inoperative. It was impossible to steer the vehicle. Not only is this situation extremely dangerous and deadly, there was no advanced warning. I received no prompts or warning lights before the incident happened. I researched and found that certain 2021 Dodge Challengers were involved in a warning system recall. My specific vehicle was not included in the recall. This is what Dodge and the dealership who did the repair kept telling me while they ignored any responsibility. This situation is completely unacceptable. I have no idea why my vehicle was not included in the recall for the warning system, but fortunately I am still alive to complain that it should’ve been. This situation, where this part fails and renders the steering inoperable is ridiculous and extremely dangerous. The repairs for this cost me over $5800. It’s very convenient that Dodge and their dealership that did the repair can hang their hat on the fact that I was not seriously injured and completely. Ignore the fact that this incident is unacceptable. Both Dodge Customer Care and the Huntington New York. Dodge dealership offered me zero compensation for being without the use of my vehicle for two weeks or the fact that my vehicle is not included in the warning system recall. I initially filed this complaint #11745702 with your office on June 22, 2026 and as of yet have not received any response. Therefore, I am filing this complaint for the second time hoping that you can take action on this. Thank you in advance for your help.;
2021 DODGE CHARGER Complaints
The Chapman Dodge service department has diagnosed the vehicle with an active, leaking fuel pump assembly and provided a repair estimate of $1,600.00. Stellantis Corporate has offered a "goodwill" gesture of only $200.00, leaving me with a $1,400.00 out-of-pocket bill. I have formally rejected this baseline offer.An active fuel leak on a 485-horsepower performance vehicle is an immediate, catastrophic fire hazard. A fuel pump module is a lifetime structural component—not a wear-and-tear item—and a complete material failure at 41,000 miles is an egregious manufacturing defect. Furthermore, because this vehicle is well under the 5-year/60,000-mile mark, it should be heavily considered under powertrain safety accommodations.Because an active fuel leak represents a severe risk to life and property, I cannot and will not safely drive this vehicle off their lot until it is repaired. Dodge Corporate and Chapman Dodge should not refuse to close the remaining $1,400.00 balance via manufacturer or dealership goodwill funds,;
