Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Starcraft Allstar XL transit buses equipped with Cummins B6.7 diesel engines. The electric fuel heater within the fuel module may overheat, causing plastic in the fuel heater to melt and potentially catch fire. It may also lead to engine stalling.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 4 units affected.

Description:
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Starcraft Allstar XL transit buses equipped with Cummins B6.7 diesel engines. The electric fuel heater within the fuel module may overheat, causing plastic in the fuel heater to melt and potentially catch fire. It may also lead to engine stalling.
Consequeces:
A fire increases the risk of injury. An engine stall can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:
Cummins will replace the fuel heater with a newly designed fuel heater, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 18, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River's number for this recall is 05-1401.
