Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2019-2021 London Aire, Dutch Star, Essex, King Aire, Mountain Aire, 2020-2021 Ventana, and 2021 New Aire recreational vehicles. The instrument cluster may intermittently go blank while the vehicle is in motion.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,554 units affected.

Description:: Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2019-2021 London Aire, Dutch Star, Essex, King Aire, Mountain Aire, 2020-2021 Ventana, and 2021 New Aire recreational vehicles. The instrument cluster may intermittently go blank while the vehicle is in motion.
Consequeces:: A blank instrument cluster display may be missing critical information such as the vehicle's speed and warning lights, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will update the control module software, and reroute and secure the ductwork, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 8, 2021. Owners may contact Newmar's customer service at 1-800-731-8300.

2021 NEWMAR DUTCH STAR Complaints
Last week I had the air dryer filter replaced at Colton Truck Terminal in Colton Ca. Subsequently, I did the complete 7 step air brake system check and discovered that during total loss of air pressure , the emergency brakes would not auto apply. I replaced the dash hand valve and the problem still persists, so I installed the original valve and took the coach back to Colton Truck Terminal to diagnose the problem. Attached is the paper work from Colton Truck Terminal diagnosing the issue and the correction of that issue. Also on that paperwork is the vehicle information. Apparently, two air lines were crossed going into the primary air tank during chassis assembly. Once corrected, the system worked properly. I did not take it to a FL dealer because the chassis is out of warranty and Colton Truck Terminal is a well respected local repair company that almost exclusively works on Class A diesel pusher chassis. My hopes are that FL will reimburse me for this repair that was required as a result of improper initial assembly. My other concern is that there are no other chassis that may have this issue that were built around the same period. Though the emergency brakes could still be manually applied during loss of air pressure, the incorrect assembly prohibited automatic operation as required. 2021 NEWMAR ESSEX Complaints
This is concerning the brake system (disk rotor & pads) on a vehicle with 2600 miles when detected. Vehicle manufacture date was March 2021, owner possession July 27, 2021. There has not been any one's safety compromised. Front Rotors are experiencing scoring which I can only conclude began during delivery of 2300 miles from Nappanee, IN. to Bend, OR. by manufacture. The abnormal wear was detected at 2600 miles during my post drive safety inspection. The condition was inspected by Josam Truck Frame & Alignment in Orlando Fl. Mileage at inspection was 7700 miles My concern is that this abnormality of scoring taking place with such low mileage and that the condition more than likely began on the delivery drive. Therefore, I can only conclude that there may exist a manufacture defect or improper installation being conducted.;
2021 NEWMAR LONDON AIRE Complaints
The hydraulic steps on this motor home automatically extend and retract when the door is opened or closed. The steps on this unit failed to retract after closing the door, and as I drove away, the steps hit a fence post. They could just as easily hit a person or driving down the road hit another vehicle. There is no warning system on this vehicle to warn the steps did not function as designed, and they are not readily visible from the driver seat. My understanding is that this has happened to others.;
