- Description:
- HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain 2019 Ram 5500 emergency vehicles. The engine calibration software may not warn about low oil volume.
- Consequeces:
- Low oil can damage the engine, causing an oil leak or a punctured engine block, increasing the risk of a fire.
- Corrective action:
- On behalf of HME, FCA dealers will update the engine calibration software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 25, 2022. Owners may contact HME's customer service at 1-616-534-1463.
