Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2013-2021 Momentum, Solitude, and Reflection recreational vehicles. A 110-volt wire in the refrigerator cabinet may be improperly secured, which could result in the wire contacting the refrigerator cooling unit, causing an electrical arc.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 43,421 units affected.

Description:: Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2013-2021 Momentum, Solitude, and Reflection recreational vehicles. A 110-volt wire in the refrigerator cabinet may be improperly secured, which could result in the wire contacting the refrigerator cooling unit, causing an electrical arc.
Consequeces:: An electrical arc increases the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and replace any damaged wiring, and properly secure the wires, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 21, 2022. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910026.

2021 GRAND DESIGN MOMENTUM Complaints
We own a 2021 Grand Design Momentum 393g toy hauler that has severe frame flex and bolts in slide have started backing out. We noticed this when driving and the extreme pushing/chucking when accelerating or braking and also the visible failure on the unit. We have contacted Gran Design, the manufacturer, for warranty repair and was able to go see the unit when they torn down to look at frame. The side walls were both broken and wall frame fell out when opened up. The unit is now at the manufacturer in Indiana for repair, my husband did not feel it was safe to tow so we requested manufacturer transport the unit. We were told by a Lippert Frame Tech the unit is not safe to use.;
2021 GRAND DESIGN REFLECTION Complaints
The contact owns a 2021 Grand Design Reflection RV. The contact stated that the fireplace glass shattered. The contact was not present when the failure occurred but expressed concern that the glass shattered randomly. The contact stated that research revealed several reports of similar failures. The contact stated a belief that the failure was caused by a factory defect in the fireplace glass. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and agreed to provide a replacement glass cover for the fireplace. The failure mileage was unknown.;
2021 GRAND DESIGN SOLITUDE Complaints
*I believe the frame to my Grand Design RV is broken/failing again and is available for inspection. *If the frame fails and breaks it will come detached from the tow vehicle possibly injuring or worse killing people. *The problem is visible to see as there is at least one broken weld and lag bolts/screws backing out that no longer hold the frame to the wall structure. *The vehicle was previously inspected by an insurance agent, dealership, and multiple Grand Design SRTs-mobile technicians when it failed before previous repairs. *There was sealant that was failing again so when I started to remove it to replaced, it I noticed some broken screw heads so I dug farther into it and found the broken weld and lag bolts loose/stripped. This was noticed during a routine sealant inspection.;
