Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021-2022 RS6 Avant and RS7, 2020-2022 A6 Allroad, S6 Sedan, and S7, and 2019-2022 A6 Sedan and A7 vehicles. The fuel level sender may stick, causing an inaccurate fuel level reading to be displayed on the instrument cluster.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 47,238 units affected.

Description:: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2021-2022 RS6 Avant and RS7, 2020-2022 A6 Allroad, S6 Sedan, and S7, and 2019-2022 A6 Sedan and A7 vehicles. The fuel level sender may stick, causing an inaccurate fuel level reading to be displayed on the instrument cluster.
Consequeces:: An inaccurate fuel reading may cause an engine stall due to lack of fuel, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will install a new sensor in the tank, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 17, 2023. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 20DN.

2022 AUDI A6 Complaints
I am reporting a manufacturing defect involving the dashboard on my 2022 Audi A6. The dashboard has begun bubbling and warping, particularly near the area close to the windshield. This defect appears to be common among Prestige-trim Audi A6 vehicles, as other owners have reported similar dashboard warping. The warping causes the dashboard material to rise upward, which reflects additional glare and partially obstructs visibility through the lower portion of the windshield, especially in certain lighting conditions. This reduces my ability to clearly see hazards low on the road ahead, creating a potential safety risk. Additional Details: - The vehicle has not been modified. -The issue has progressively worsened over time. - The defect appears to affect normal forward visibility and could distract the driver. Audi has not issued a recall for this known problem, despite multiple similar complaints from other owners (Effected Models per online research: ETron, R8, A6, A7, A8, Q7, Q8). I am asking NHTSA to investigate this dashboard defect as a potential manufacturing defect and safety hazard due to obstructed visibility and distracted driving caused by glare/reflection from the warped dashboard surface.;
2022 AUDI A6 ALLROAD Complaints
The alternator and starter of this car fails under heavy load due to the combined start stop engine function with heavy stop and go traffic. This is a known service problem affecting many Audis. my experience happened when I was driving home from work in heavy stop and go traffic after about 30 minutes of start and stop of the engine under these conditions the engine shut down completely and indicated a warning in the dash with an electrical system malfunction. I turned the car off and turned it back on and tried to put it into drive and shifted between park and drive and the engine still would not start. I ended up having to wait for about five minutes with the engine shut off at that point. I turned the engine back on and was able to put the car into drive. This was a dangerous situation because of heavy traffic surrounding my car and not being able to move the vehicle as it was stopped in the middle of the road. Audi has begun a service campaign for this known failure, but it should be upgraded to a recall as this is a serious safety hazard.;
2022 AUDI RS 6 AVANT Complaints
Repair (component replacement) performed under Audi recall 27BQ (or 27BQ_DLR_LAUNCH) for faulty starter-alternator that can cause immediate catastrophic failure of all electrical systems affecting powertrain, steering, suspension, safety features, and emissions equipment has failed after 12 months and 2,516 miles. The replacement component suffers from the same catastrophic failure. Car indicates sport differential malfunction, suspension malfunction, steering malfunction, start/stop system malfunction, stabilization system malfunction, and safety system malfunction simultaneously.;
