Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2013-2017 A8, S6 Sedan, S7, S8, and 2014-2017 RS7 vehicles. The turbocharger oil supply strainer can become blocked, causing wear to the bearings due to lack of lubrication.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 26,093 units affected.

Description:: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2013-2017 A8, S6 Sedan, S7, S8, and 2014-2017 RS7 vehicles. The turbocharger oil supply strainer can become blocked, causing wear to the bearings due to lack of lubrication.
Consequeces:: Worn bearings can cause the turbine wheel to contact the turbocharger housing or cause the shaft to break, causing an engine stall and increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will replace the oil strainer and perform an oil change, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 4, 2022. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 21H7.

2017 AUDI A8 Complaints
Audi number AWA-19-03 covers the crankcase ventilation valve extended warranty for 2013-2016 audi models less than 10 years old and with less than 120,000 miles. My vehicle meets the year and mileage requirements, but is a 2017 model with the same problem as the 2013-2016 models. I paid to have the dealer perform the repairs because they said there was no extended warranty. Audi USA also said they can not find the extended warranty. I would like Audi to cover the cost of this repair. Even thought it is a year newer, it it the same problem experienced on the earlier models. Audi did not correct the problem.;
2017 AUDI S6 Complaints
I took the vehicle to west Covina Audi to get the recall repaired. Inv # 793279. They claimed the recall was repaired. I request photos of the work performed and old parts. I was told that since it was a recall they have to ship the parts to Audi. When i was notified that my car was done. I asked for pictures. they send me pictures of another car. I checked all the hose clamps and markings from the factory. they are all untouched. Its a extensive repair and that was done in 15 minutes. Audi is commiting recall fraud.;
2017 AUDI S7 Complaints
The last month I’ve been having issues with the transmission. It’s been cutting out on me, giving me warnings and causing me to stall in the middle of the road, and when I do manage to get it back on it, jerks to the point where I could crash into someone in front of me. I’ve lost power while driving three times already. I also get warnings that my lane assistance is not working and that my forward collision warning is not working. I wasn’t able to get pictures, but I can definitely get pictures next time cause I know it’s gonna happen again. I’m very positive if they did a diagnostics that the diagnostics would let them know when the engine started acting up as today (12/18/24) around 9:30 am, it happened again, on my way to a doctors appointment … but it started on November 28th, was the first time it started happening. This is SO DANGEROUS;
