Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. is recalling certain 2018-2020 MBII school buses

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2018-2020 MBII school buses. The GenQ seats equipped with Type 2 seat belts may have been attached with insufficient hardware. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems", and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 457 units affected.

Description:
Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2018-2020 MBII school buses. The GenQ seats equipped with Type 2 seat belts may have been attached with insufficient hardware. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 207, "Seating Systems", and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Consequeces:
An insufficiently attached seat may detach during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective action:
No remedy has been established at this time. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 21, 2022. Owners may contact Micro Bird's customer service at 1-819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 22-091-GUS.
