Daimler Trucks North America, LLC is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. The antilock brakes (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) may be manually disabled. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 121, "Air Brake Systems," and 136, "Electronic Stability Control Systems on Heavy Vehicles."
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 17 units affected.

- Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 Freightliner Cascadia vehicles. The antilock brakes (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) may be manually disabled. - Disabled ABS and ESC may lead to loss of braking or stability control, which can increase the risk of a crash.
- Corrective action:
- DTNA will repurchase the vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed June 28, 2024. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL932.
