General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 Cadillac XT5, XT6, and GMC Acadia All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles. The fuel tank rollover valve may not provide a proper seal in the event of a rollover crash.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 228 units affected.

Description:: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2022 Cadillac XT5, XT6, and GMC Acadia All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles. The fuel tank rollover valve may not provide a proper seal in the event of a rollover crash.
Consequeces:: A fuel tank rollover valve that does not properly seal can result in a fuel leak during a rollover crash, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect the fuel tank and replace the fuel tank shell if the rollover valve is found to be dislodged or missing, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 27, 2022. Owners may contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 and GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. 2022 CADILLAC XT5 Complaints
Since I purchased my 2022 Cadillac XT5 which was on 5-9-26, I have had issues with the performance of the transmission. Every time I slow down, the car down shifts very abruptly and roughly until the car comes to a complete stop. I also experience rough gear shifts when accelerating as well. This vehicle should have a smooth transition through gears not harsh and rough especially in a luxury vehicle. In addition to this being annoying, it is also a safety hazard as you lose control when it happens. A service bulletin was posted by the manufacturer acknowledging these flaws but are not going to do anything to address the issue (see attached file). I know that this is not normal as I have never experienced it with any of the cars I have owned in the past. The vehicle has been inspected by a Cadillac dealership and a Chevy (GM) dealership but they were unable to fix it due to the manufacturer bulletin. Note that a software update and transmission fluid exchange was done but did not help the jerky, clunky ride. Please also note that I have read many reviews from customers who have reported issues about the transmission as well. I don't understand how General Motors can produce these vehicles with such design flaws. It doesn't make sense especially when it affects a Cadillac which has always been a smooth ride with a smooth transmission. I would appreciate some compensation for all that I have experienced with this vehicle. It's not right.;
2022 CADILLAC XT6 Complaints
I was driving in a highway going at highway speed and the car suddenly just shut off and all the alert lights were reflected at that time the car was not responding completely, shut off, then within seconds after the lights flashed it started on it's own. It was the first time this happened. I was concerned that the car would not respond and maybe could have cost an accident.;
2022 GMC ACADIA Complaints
Since we purchased our 2022 Acadia 6/24/2022 we have had the warning "Service Safety Restraint System" pop up randomly. We have mentioned it numerous times over the years when the vehicle has been in for routine service at our local dealership. They have never been able to determine the cause as no service code ever shows up for them. Today in addition to the warning the red air bag warning light also lit up briefly. The warning has popped up 2x in the last 2 weeks again with today being the only time we noticed the red light as well. We are now more concerned about the safety of our vehicle. (We will be on vacation now through 8/25 & would be available after that date for any contact);
