REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Holiday Rambler Vacationer, Invicta, Navigator, Admiral, Fleetwood Southwind, Bounder, Pace Arrow, 2021-2022 Fleetwood Fortis, Flair, 2023 Fleetwood Flex and Holiday Rambler Eclipse motorhomes. The service valves on the LPG tanks may have improper thread depth, which can cause a propane leak.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,540 units affected.

Description:: REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Holiday Rambler Vacationer, Invicta, Navigator, Admiral, Fleetwood Southwind, Bounder, Pace Arrow, 2021-2022 Fleetwood Fortis, Flair, 2023 Fleetwood Flex and Holiday Rambler Eclipse motorhomes. The service valves on the LPG tanks may have improper thread depth, which can cause a propane leak.
Consequeces:: A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and if necessary replace the service valves, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 20, 2023. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417.

2022 FLEETWOOD FLAIR Complaints
What component failed & is it available for inspection? Multiple critical safety systems failed, and the vehicle is available for inspection. Primary failures include the main entry door lock assembly and a complete electrical power failure to the LP propane safety leak detector. Secondary failures include malfunctioning front hood locks, a defective propane tank refueling sensor, and a cracked factory water heater weld. How was safety put at risk? The main entry door lock assembly failed mechanically, physically trapping occupants inside the living coach with no mechanical release and forcing an emergency window escape. This same door mechanism unlatched and swung completely open while transit on public highways, creating an extreme crash/ejection hazard. Additionally, the total electrical failure to the LP propane detector left occupants with zero protection or warning against toxic or explosive gas leaks. Has the problem been reproduced/confirmed by a dealer? Yes. All ongoing mechanical and structural failures have been thoroughly documented and confirmed across multiple repair visits by Camping World RV Sales. Furthermore, the electrical propane detector failure and structural roof compromises were explicitly reproduced and confirmed via an independent 45-point safety inspection. Has the vehicle or component been inspected…? Authorized dealer technicians have extensively inspected and documented these safety defects during multiple detentions totaling over 220 cumulative days out of service. The manufacturer (REV Group) has been formally served a legal demand letter regarding these structural and life-safety failures. Were there any warning lamps…? A chronic Chassis Check Engine Light first appeared in July 2023. However, the critical life-safety failures—the mechanical door lock trapping occupants/opening in transit and the complete power failure to the LP propane leak detector—occurred suddenly without any prior warning lamps or diagnostic symptoms.;
2022 FLEETWOOD FORTIS Complaints
The Tow Hitch, on the rear of the motorhome, broke off while towing my car. This caused my car to be released from the motorhome at 65 mph on southbound I-75 in KY. The car careened into the center median barrier. Luckily, the car did not impact anyone or anything else while it was out of control. The manufacturer, REV/Fleetwood has issued a Recall Notice for a broken Tow Hitch, for a similar motorhome, using the same hitch supplier, mounted to a similar chassis, during the same time frame. Pictures have been sent to REV/Fleetwood, a Scott County Kentucky Sheriff, a Progressive Insurance adjuster and Lexington Hitch and Trailer have inspected the Tow Hitch. I had no indication of the failure, other than another motorist, who flagged me down immediately after the separation. Please note: The REV/Fleetwood action is # Recall Bulletin 230516REV. 2023 FLEETWOOD BOUNDER Complaints
On [XXX], after arriving at our campground in Tok, Alaska, the main entry-door latch/handle on our 2023 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome failed completely. I parked the motorhome in front of the campground office. When I attempted to open the main entry door by lifting the door handle, the handle broke off and came completely into my hand. The door would no longer open. There were four people inside the motorhome, and none of us could open the main entry door. We were effectively trapped inside the RV through the primary entrance. Because we could not open the door, I climbed out through the passenger-side window so that I could get outside and retrieve tools. While climbing out of the window, I fell and injured my leg and back. After getting up, I went to the motorhome’s tool compartment and retrieved a screwdriver. I then passed the screwdriver through the window to my friend, who was still inside the motorhome. Since the main door could not be opened using the broken handle, my friend had to remove the screws securing the inside door latch/handle assembly. When those screws were removed, the assembly came apart and the internal components became loose. This disassembly was necessary so that we could gain access to the internal latch mechanism. My friend was then able to manually pull one of the internal latch components, which finally released the door and allowed us to open it. The latch assembly and its components were subsequently removed from the door. We have saved the broken handle, the latch assembly, and all of the loose internal components. Nothing has been discarded, and we also have photographs documenting the failed parts. The duct tape currently visible on the door is only being used to cover the opening left after removal of the latch assembly. It is not being used to repair the latch or hold the latch mechanism together. After the incident, I contacted two service people in Tok, Alaska seeking assistance.
