Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Rebel 300 (CMX300) motorcycles. The right engine crank house cover was incorrectly painted, allowing the press-fit plug to fall out.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,461 units affected.

- Description:
- Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023 Rebel 300 (CMX300) motorcycles. The right engine crank house cover was incorrectly painted, allowing the press-fit plug to fall out.
- Consequeces:
- Oil can leak onto the exhaust pipe or rear tire without the plug, increasing the risk of a fire, crash, or injury.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will replace the right crank case cover, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 25, 2023. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-800-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is KP2.
