Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2023 Camry and Camry Hybrid vehicles

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023 Camry and Camry Hybrid vehicles. The lug nuts that attach the wheels to the vehicle may be loose, which can result in wheel detachment.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 298 units affected.

Description:: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023 Camry and Camry Hybrid vehicles. The lug nuts that attach the wheels to the vehicle may be loose, which can result in wheel detachment.
Consequeces:: A wheel that detaches from a moving vehicle can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will inspect and tighten the lug nuts, and replace any damaged components, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on or before August 14, 2023. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 23TA05.

I woke up to my car on fire and Toyota is saying they don’t know what happened but they’re also saying it wasn’t their fault I’ve never seen a brand new car just randomly set on fire and then nobody really look for any answers I just put brand new tires on the car the day before it burnt up I’m currently behind on my car payments because of the financial strain this whole situation put me in because on top of a divorce I wasn’t prepared to go and buy another car I’ve just stopped living in my current car and got an apartment because of the financial strain that this is caused and I wasn’t given any kind of reimbursement or assistance even with the tires that I just bought I feel like Toyota knows something that they’re not telling me and I deserve to be compensated;
2023 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID Complaints
The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed an abnormal fuel odor around the exterior of the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed a yellow fuel stain on the fuel cap door and onto the rear tire. The contact stated that the fuel leak had damaged the paint on the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed fuel cap. The contact was informed that the fuel cap needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the part had been ordered. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.;
