Hyundai Motor America is recalling certain 2023-2024 Palisade Tucson

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Palisade Tucson, 2023 Sonata, Elantra, and Kona vehicles. The electronic controller for the Idle Stop & Go oil pump assembly may contain damaged electrical components that can cause the pump controller to overheat.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 52,109 units affected.

Description:: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Palisade Tucson, 2023 Sonata, Elantra, and Kona vehicles. The electronic controller for the Idle Stop & Go oil pump assembly may contain damaged electrical components that can cause the pump controller to overheat.
Consequeces:: An electric oil pump assembly that overheats increases the risk of a vehicle fire.
Corrective action:: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will inspect and replace the electric oil pump controller, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed starting September 7, 2023. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460. Hyundai's number for this recall is 246.

The paint is peeling off of my hood and on the sides of my car I have noticed other Hyundais with the same problem I tried to go through warranty and Hyundai wouldn't help me I've noticed in the past that they have had recalls on their vehicles for paint and I believe that this needs to be a recall also;

Dear Hyundai Motor America Consumer Affairs, My name is [XXX], and I am submitting this correspondence as a formal safety and customer-service complaint concerning my 2023 Hyundai Kona SEL, the recurring failure of its horn, and the treatment I received at Capitol Hyundai in San Jose, California. I am requesting that Hyundai Motor America immediately open a corporate case, investigate the dealership’s handling of this matter, preserve all relevant records, and provide me with a written resolution. This complaint involves an unresolved vehicle safety concern. My vehicle’s horn has failed repeatedly. I previously presented the vehicle to Hyundai for this same horn issue in 2024. One of those visits was properly documented. I subsequently returned regarding the horn again, and the horn was made operational; however, to the best of my knowledge, that subsequent visit and/or work was not properly documented in my service history. The horn has now failed again. A functioning horn is an important vehicle safety device. Without it, I cannot reliably warn another driver, cyclist, pedestrian, or other road user when immediate warning may be necessary to avoid a collision. On August 11, 2026, I brought my vehicle to Capitol Hyundai, 1050 Capitol Expressway Auto Mall, San Jose, CA 95136, seeking assistance with this recurring problem. What occurred is particularly concerning because Capitol Hyundai’s own Repair Order documents the situation. The Repair Order states: “CUSTOMER STATES HORN IS NOT WORKING PLEASE CHECK AND ADVISE” and also states: “DEALERSHIP IS REFUSING TO SERVICE CLIENT DUE TO CUSTOMER ISSUE.” I am attaching a copy of this Repair Order. Therefore, there should be no dispute that Capitol Hyundai had actual written notice on [XXX] that I reported an inoperative horn and that the dealership documented its refusal to service me. Instead of resolving the safety concern, I left without the horn being repaired. I was also told that the dealership would INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT;
2023 HYUNDAI SONATA Complaints
I own a 2023 Hyundai Sonata SEL. Over approximately three years, the vehicle experienced four separate incidents involving sudden loss of engine power and recurring fuel injector/powertrain problems. Three of these incidents occurred while the vehicle was being driven on interstate highways, creating serious safety concerns. The first incident occurred on XXX, on [XXX] [XXX]. My daughter was driving the vehicle at the time when it suddenly lost power while traveling on the interstate. She had to maneuver the vehicle to the shoulder under unsafe traffic conditions. The second incident occurred on XXX, on [XXX] near [XXX]. I was driving the vehicle when it again experienced sudden loss of power while traveling at highway speed. The third incident occurred on XXX, in [XXX]. The vehicle experienced another significant power-loss event and required roadside assistance. The fourth incident occurred on XXX, on [XXX]. The vehicle again experienced a sudden loss of engine power while I was driving on the highway. Despite multiple repair attempts, including repairs related to the fuel injectors, the same or substantially similar power-loss problem continued to recur. Because the vehicle has repeatedly lost engine power while being driven, including multiple incidents at interstate highway speeds, I believe this recurring condition presents a serious safety risk. I am reporting these incidents so NHTSA can evaluate whether this may represent a broader safety-related defect affecting this vehicle model. 2024 HYUNDAI PALISADE Complaints
When stopping on uneven ground ,or steeper down hill the breaks fail to stop. They don’t “catch “ to stop. In separate issue is the “emergency steering” alert flashes on dash randomly and takes over when there is no need to anything out of the normal happening, only happen in very short time maybe under a minute but it shouldn’t come on at all when it does happen;
2024 HYUNDAI TUCSON HYBRID Complaints
The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the horn pad was pressed; however, the sound coming from the horn was extremely low. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure, and an appointment was scheduled for the repair. The contact stated that the horn had been replaced twice for the same failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,907.;
