Mazda North American Operations is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 and MAZDA3 vehicles

Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 and MAZDA3 vehicles. Due to a software error, the rearview, front, and/or side camera images may not appear on the display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 11,903 units affected.

Description:: Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 and MAZDA3 vehicles. Due to a software error, the rearview, front, and/or side camera images may not appear on the display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequeces:: A camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Corrective action:: Dealers will update the view monitor control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2023. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500 Option 6. Mazda's number for this recall is 6223J.

2024 MAZDA CX-90 Complaints
Vehicle has 43,000 miles and the radiator has failed. Engine light goes off and on about high engine temperature and limits acceleration. Lost acceleration on freeway and was forced to get off on the freeway shoulder. The temperature gauge jumps from normal to high. Engine was extremely hot and potentially a burn hazard when I opened the hood. I've researched Mazda CX-90 owner's online forums and this radiator failure is happening to the 2024 model with several owners just out of warranty stating leaks spraying engine area. My vehicle has the same green coolant spray dried on the water hoses that many other owners have experienced.;
2024 MAZDA MAZDA3 Complaints
I was denied work on a network issue recall 3 separate times at the dealership I bought the car. The first time I was told it was because of a smell. If I clean the car, they will fix it. I noticed after they were in the car my backup camera didn’t work which I also thought might be a recall but found out it wasnt. I went ahead and cleaned it twice. I came back they alleged it smelled like cat litter and urine. I asked to speak to someone else because there was nothing in my car and I know it didn’t. There were also no stains, mold, anything like that. It smelled of cleaning products. But I took it home and scrubbed extensively even though I was confused by the comment. When I went there it was smelling like lemon. Zero stains, mold, nothing in the car but maybe a little sand and baking soda. The person went as far as to say wow the car is improved said but thry still sorta smell it and there’s stuff on the window (there wasn’t). At that point I knew I was being picked on because either they didn’t know how to fix it or didn’t want to work with me. It felt discriminatory and differential to others. I now have a super clean car but a network issue and no backup camera because of this. They claim now they fixed everything but a non-safety issue but I also still have two errors that say “telematics” and “networking issue have vehicle inspected.” I believe I have rights under NC lemon law as this is within 24 months of purchase with only 4600 miles;
