Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2021-2024 GLE, GLS, C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, SL, GLC, CLS, AMG GT, and G-Class vehicles. Please refer to MBUSA's recall report for specific vehicle details. The fuel pump may shutdown, causing a loss of drive power.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 79,676 units affected.

Description:: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2021-2024 GLE, GLS, C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, SL, GLC, CLS, AMG GT, and G-Class vehicles. Please refer to MBUSA's recall report for specific vehicle details. The fuel pump may shutdown, causing a loss of drive power.
Consequeces:: A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 28, 2024. Owner notification letters will be mailed in phases, on February 23, 2024, April 19, 2024, June 28, 2024, August 9, 2024, October 1, 2024, and December 2, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall number 23V-445.

2022 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GLE53 Complaints
The panoramic sunroof exploded upwards and outwards while driving under normal conditions. It created an extremely loud and startling sound that left the driver and passenger stunned. We were fortunate there was not an immediate oncoming vehicle as we likely would have struck head on. Shortly after the explosion, tiny shards of glass began to fall into the passenger area. We were also fortunate to be able to get the vehicle safely off the road. The vehicle was brought to the dealership and the manufacturer was called. They are all pretending they have never heard of something like that happening when a quick search reveals this is a known manufacturing defect with a class action lawsuit filed. The named plaintiff is actually a customer from the very dealership we brought the vehicle to for service. There is no chance they are not aware of the problem.;
2022 MERCEDES-MAYBACH S 580 Complaints
I have had two separate incidents where the automatic braking system engaged causing vehicle to come to a complete stop almost causing me to get rear ended by another vehicle. The first time there was no sign of a vehicle in the front of me. It happened at about 55 miles an hour on the expressway. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and they claim they haven't had any issues so they download some new software and said that should take care of the problem. The second time happened today. I was entering a roundabout at 15 miles an hour (there was a vehicle about 15 feet ahead of me) my vehicle suddenly stopped (vehicle behind me hit their brakes almost hitting me). I emailed the dealer a video clip of the incident but have had no response at this point. I have lost confidence in the safety of the vehicle at this point. I have a dash cam video I can send if needed.;
2023 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG C43 Complaints
I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2023 Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 4MATIC. The vehicle has approximately 23,000 miles. On multiple occasions, the vehicle has abruptly and violently applied the brakes and/or come to a near stop while I was driving on highways and side roads, even though there was nothing in front of me that should have triggered emergency braking. There was no vehicle, pedestrian, cyclist, object, or road hazard present that would justify this braking event. This is not normal braking behavior. The car essentially performs an uncommanded emergency stop or severe deceleration without warning. The force is strong enough to create a serious risk of being rear-ended by vehicles behind me. This has happened at highway speeds and on local roads, making the vehicle unsafe to operate. If a following driver is unable to react in time, this defect could easily cause a crash, injury, or death. The problem appears related to the vehicle’s automatic emergency braking / Active Brake Assist / forward collision avoidance system and possibly other linked driver-assistance systems. The vehicle has already been serviced on two separate occasions for this exact issue, yet the problem has occurred again. Despite bringing the vehicle in for repair more than once, the defect remains unresolved. Because this dangerous unintended braking continues to happen, I cannot continue to drive the car safely with this issue unresolved. On April 1, 2025, I took the vehicle to Aristocrat Motors in Merriam, Kansas for the car slamming on the brakes and beeping when no one was around. The service center calibrated the augmented reality camera and performed a test drive. The invoice indicates that they were unable to duplicate the braking event during the test drive. They ran codes with SDS and found that the augmented reality camera was not calibrated correctly, so they performed a calibration. On December 31, 2025, I again took the vehicle to Aristocrat Motors in Merriam, Kansa;
2023 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG E53 Complaints
On Three (3) occasions, my engine has Stopped while the car was in gear and in motion. I was at great risk when this happened twice on August 7, 2024 while in traffic and my car stopped in the middle of traffic. One time I was able to coast into a parking lot. However, the second time the car stopped in the traffic lane. I was very lucky not to have been hit in the rear. In each case, I was able to restart the engine. One time I received a "Malfunction" notice on the dashboard. I immediately took the car to a Mercedes dealer for evaluation on August 8, 2024.. Dealer found Diagnostic Code P060C00 and did a "Standstll Adaption". On September 29, 2024, the engine once again stopped running while the car was in Reverse gear (Third Time) and I was backing out of a parking space. No malfunction notice appeared on the dash. I have an appointment on September 3, 2024, with the Mercedes dealer to leave the car. In all three case there has been No warning that there was a problem. The engine simply sputters and stopped. Only one "Malfunction" has appeared after the engine has stopped. The question on "speed" was not answered as I was in Stop and Go traffic on the first two times the engine stopped.;
