Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 IC Bus CE school buses. Tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that may have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 30 units affected.

- Description:
- Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 IC Bus CE school buses. Tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that may have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure.
- Consequeces:
- Tie rod failure can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will replace the tie rod ends and realign the front axle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24510.
