Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2024 Lexus RX 350

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Lexus RX 350, RX 350h, 2024-2025 NX 250, NX 350, and NX 350h vehicles. The head restraints on the driver and front passenger seats may be inadvertently removed without pressing the lock release button. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 202, "Head Restraints."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 11,418 units affected.

Description:: Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Lexus RX 350, RX 350h, 2024-2025 NX 250, NX 350, and NX 350h vehicles. The head restraints on the driver and front passenger seats may be inadvertently removed without pressing the lock release button. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 202, "Head Restraints."
Consequeces:: A head restraint that is inadvertently removed and not reinstalled can increase the risk of injury during a rear-end crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will replace the driver and front passenger seat head rest assemblies, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 14, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24LB06 and 24LA06.

I have tried to get Stevenson Lexus in Lakewood Colorado to replace the head rests , they have not ever had the parts to complete the recall. I have been waiting for over a year. I called Lexus headquarters in Texas and was told that there is a remedy but Stevenson Lexus has never offered that to me.;
2024 LEXUS RX HYBRID Complaints
The contact owns a 2024 Lexus RX Hybrid. The contact stated that after the husband parked the vehicle on the street while visiting the hospital, the husband later discovered that the vehicle had caught on fire and burned and the fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the flames. The origin of the fire was not yet determined. A fire report was not yet available. The vehicle was not yet towed away. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted regarding the incident. The failure mileage was 3,000.;
2025 LEXUS NX Complaints
The Lexus NX 350 has developed a very strong odor coming from the ventilation system. The smell is consistent with standing water, stale moisture, and/or mold. This is a significant health and safety concern, as I am worried there may be standing water or mold, potentially including black mold, within the HVAC/ventilation system. If mold or contaminated moisture is present, it could potentially be circulated throughout the vehicle and contribute to respiratory irritation or allergy symptoms. I brought this concern to the dealership’s attention during a routine service visit. The cabin air filter was replaced, but this did not resolve the odor or the underlying issue. The ventilation system and potential sources of moisture have not been adequately investigated or resolved, however online review do note this is a common issue with this model. Other than routine maintenance performed by the dealership, the vehicle has not been inspected or serviced elsewhere, and I have not experienced any other issues with the vehicle. I am requesting a thorough inspection of the HVAC/ventilation system and any potential sources of water intrusion or moisture to determine the cause of the odor and ensure the vehicle is safe to operate. I am very conserned with a silent health issue, lightly brished off that may lead to lung issues ond other respitory concerns. Please take this matter seriously.;
