Honda is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, and 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid vehicles. The high-pressure fuel pump may crack and leak fuel.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 720,810 units affected.

Description:: Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, and 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid vehicles. The high-pressure fuel pump may crack and leak fuel.
Consequeces:: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 20, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is PJW.

2024 HONDA ACCORD Complaints
Clicking and light ticking noise from the electric power steering (EPS) rack when turning the steering wheel, with the vehicle stationary or at low speed. No loss of steering control and no crash or injury. Repair history on this VIN for the same concern: the steering rack and pinion was replaced twice under the first owner (04/08/2024 at 5,566 miles and 05/21/2024 at 8,730 miles). The noise returned. I purchased the vehicle in November 2025. I have taken it in twice more. On Feb 2026, a Honda Field Technical Specialist verified the clicking noise from the EPS rack, found the EPS motor out of adjustment, and performed an adjustment. The noise returned within 2 months and is present now at 33,800 miles. Honda Tech Line Summary Article ATS30025 (March 20, 2026) covers this symptom on 2023 and later Accord, attributes it to insufficient clearance between the steering gearbox motor housing and the steering rack, describes the available procedure as a temporary solution that may not resolve the issue, and states that a permanent countermeasure is still being developed. American Honda has told me no permanent repair exists and would make no commitment beyond a possible future recall. The Accord was not included in recall 24V-744, which covered the steering gearbox on other Honda models. I am reporting this so the agency has data on the same component in the Accord.;
2024 HONDA ACCORD HYBRID Complaints
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed into a parking space, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle unintendedly accelerated and drove over a parking space bump. The contact shifted the transmission into reverse(R) and depressed the accelerator pedal, and then the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to stop. The contact turned the steering wheel while driving approximately 30-40 MPH to avoid crashing in other vehicles and structures in the parking lot. The vehicle reversed in circles and crashed into the side of a fence before it came to a stop. The air bags did not deploy. The contact suffered back, hip, and leg pain but had not received medical attention immediately. The contact's granddaughter was a passenger inside the vehicle and had no injuries. The contact later sought medical attention from a massage therapist. No Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that there was 100% acceleration without the brakes activating, and the vehicle was not shifted into park(P). The vehicle was then towed to a Collision Center for rear damages; however, the vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact was informed that a third-party company would evaluate the vehicle and the Event Data Recorder (EDR) to recalibrate the EDR. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 23,069.;
2025 HONDA CIVIC Complaints
Honda's braking is so sharp and late against standing objects (red light vehicle). Sometimes, even accelerates in visibility area and get scary, if it really going to brake? brakes very sharply, when the car in front of you turns and even out of your way already. I'm just filing this for you to help push the manufacturer to fix with Software upgrade, as I see Hyundai and Toyota's have very smooth and more accurate systems.;
2025 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID Complaints
On a two way lane highway, vehicle detects on coming traffic and causes sudden deceleration of vehicle and braking which can cause being rear ended by another vehicle. This also occurs on multi lane freeways when going in the same direction the vehicle will detect a vehicle in the lane next to me braking and again cause the vehicle to decelerate and brake which could cause an accident. Occurs at least once or twice a week. I have a video of the issue which might be better;
2025 HONDA CR-V HYBRID Complaints
The contact owns a 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The contact stated that upon pulling into a parking space and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated, and the front end of the vehicle crashed into a brick wall. The driver's side front and side air bags deployed. Bystanders turned off the vehicle, opened the front driver's side door, and assisted the contact out of the vehicle. It was unknown whether a warning light illuminated before or after the crash. The contact noticed smoke coming from under the hood. The contact's husband arrived at the scene and transported the contact to the residence. The contact was then transported to the hospital, where the contact underwent an EKG, a chest X-ray and a CT scan. The contact sustained trouble breathing from sternum pain and headaches. A police report was filed. There was no property damage. The vehicle was towed to a Crash Auto Repair shop, but an estimate of the damage was not yet available. The local dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.;
