McNeilus Truck & Manufacturing, Inc. (McNeilus) is recalling certain 2010-2024 Rear Loader vehicles. The license plate light was installed in the wrong location and may not fully illuminate the license plate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 431 units affected.

- Consequeces:
- An improperly illuminated license plate reduces the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will relocate the light free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 2, 2024. Owners may contact McNeilus Customer Service at 1-888-686-7278.
