Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2023-2025 VNR Electric trucks. The high voltage battery may contain loose hardware, which can create a short circuit inside the battery cells.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 174 units affected.

- Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2023-2025 VNR Electric trucks. The high voltage battery may contain loose hardware, which can create a short circuit inside the battery cells.
- Consequeces:
- A high voltage battery that short circuits increases the risk of a fire.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will replace the batteries, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed April 24, 2025. Owner letters will be mailed on or before August 25, 2025, for the additional vehicles added on July 22, 2025. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 1-800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2501.
