Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-293. The body control module (BCM) may inadvertently deactivate one or both rear tail lights.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 2,711 units affected.

- Description:
- Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-293. The body control module (BCM) may inadvertently deactivate one or both rear tail lights.
- Consequeces:
- Rear tail lights that fail to illuminate can reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will update the body control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 28, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S07.
