BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2025 330i, 330i xDrive, 530i, 530i xDrive, 4 Series Coupe (430i, 430i xDrive), 4 Series Convertible (430i, 430i xDrive), 4 Series Gran Coupe (430i, 430i xDrive) and X3 30 xDrive vehicles. The electrical connection between the starter-generator and battery may come loose.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 4,557 units affected.

Description:: BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2025 330i, 330i xDrive, 530i, 530i xDrive, 4 Series Coupe (430i, 430i xDrive), 4 Series Convertible (430i, 430i xDrive), 4 Series Gran Coupe (430i, 430i xDrive) and X3 30 xDrive vehicles. The electrical connection between the starter-generator and battery may come loose.
Consequeces:: A loose starter-generator connection can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, the wiring may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and replace the starter-generator and positive battery cable as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed May 28, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.

2025 BMW 330I Complaints
I have had to replace 6 of these tires on all wheels within in year as they develop bubbles even after almost being new with little mileage. I know of others who have similar problem. The service persons tell me that I am not alone with this issue. My son in his brand new BMW with same tires just got a bubble with 3K mikes on it.;
2025 BMW 430I Complaints
While driving at highway speed on [XXX] I went to put my windows up. Without touching anything else my seat moved backward and I was unable to reach either pedal. Fortunately I was able to maneuver to a point where I was able to regain vehicle control. Obviously this was a life threatening situation which could have been disastrous. There was no auto correction by the vehicle. This was reported to BMW of Barrington , IL and serviced on XXX. No specific explanation has been provided. This is just one of many issues with this vehicle that appear to be related, and escalating in severity. I can't determine how they are related, if at all. I don't trust the safety of this vehicle and am not convinced BMW to date has performed a complete root cause analyses from the date the vehicle was put in service. 2025 BMW 430I XDRIVE Complaints
The rear cross traffic alert system on this vehicle (2025 BMW X4) does not work properly even when all systems are turned on (check marked) . No warning visual or audio for example is given when backing out of parking spaces, driveways, etc. and a vehicle is crossing behind your intended path either from right to left or from left to right. We are familiar with how rear cross traffic works as we have it on our 2018 Subaru Outback. This system gives the driver a false sense of security and may lead to serious backing accidents.;
2025 BMW 530I Complaints
After returning to my vehicle, I received an alert that the chassis stabilization system had a fault. The car was free, rolling and had no parking brake while it was on an incline. There was zero ability to turn the steering wheel. I consider this a life-threatening safety issue.;
