Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2014-2016 AT200A aerial devices

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2014-2016 AT200A aerial devices. Cracks may develop in the legs of the mounting frame, which can cause the mounting frame side plate to break.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 103 units affected.

Description:
Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2014-2016 AT200A aerial devices. Cracks may develop in the legs of the mounting frame, which can cause the mounting frame side plate to break.
Consequeces:
A broken side plate may result in pedestal and truck frame separation, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective action:
Altec will provide instructions for owners to inspect the mounting frame side plates for cracks. If cracks are found, Altec will repair the side plates as necessary, or provide a repair kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in April 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 3215.
