Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2023-2025 GLC 300

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023-2025 GLC 300, GLC 300 4MATIC, 2024-2025 AMG GLC 43 4MATIC, 2025 GLC 350E 4MATIC, and AMG GLC 63 S E vehicles equipped with a panoramic sunroof. In certain crash scenarios, where the rear occupant's head contacts the C-pillar, the pillar may not absorb an adequate amount of the impact. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 201, "Occupant Protection in Interior Impact."

The recall was influenced by the Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance with about 92,851 units affected.

Consequeces:: In the event of a crash, insufficient impact protection can increase the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Dealers will modify the roof lining and C-pillar trim, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 9, 2025. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.

The liftgate on this car is faulty. There are hundreds of reports online that I found when it happened to me, which has been several times now. The liftgate has a sensor that is activated by your foot, but when you are inside the hatch it will trigger and close on you. There is no sensor to stop it from falling and it traps you inside and has hit me on the head, bruised my shoulders and back and I have fallen from being hit by it. I have reported it to Mercedes several times and asked them to at least cover the sensor and they say it's not possible. This is dangerous and it's going to seriously injure or kill somebody younger or more feeble.;

2025 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC 350 E 4MATIC Complaints
My 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e displayed a “48V battery malfunction” warning on or about July 1, 2026, while the vehicle was less than one year old. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership and remained there until approximately July 20. Mercedes-Benz USA became involved, and the dealership ultimately stated that the malfunction had been corrected through a software update. The 48V battery was not replaced. I have not received documentation clearly identifying the specific software update, campaign, operation number, underlying failure mechanism, or pre- and post-repair diagnostic results establishing that the reported malfunction was caused and resolved by software. I am therefore unable to determine whether the battery or another component of the 48V system was defective, or whether the warning was merely cleared. In late August, I also heard a new and pronounced whirring sound near the left-front area of the vehicle after charging. A different authorized dealership charged the high-voltage battery to 100%, attempted to reproduce the sound, and found no charging-system fault codes or abnormal noise. It characterized the sound as normal post-charge cooling operation and performed no repair. I am submitting this complaint because of the original 48V malfunction, the lack of documentation identifying exactly what failed and what software remedy was performed, and the possible relevance to a previously closed NHTSA investigation involving Mercedes-Benz battery-related concerns. Please associate this complaint with any applicable closed investigation and evaluate whether this incident constitutes additional relevant field evidence.;
