Nissan North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2013-2021 NV200 Van

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2013-2021 NV200 Van, 2014-2017, 2019 NV200 Taxi, and 2015-2018 Chevrolet City Express vehicles. The Fuel Tank Temperature (FTT) sensor harness may have been incorrectly routed, damaging wires and causing a short circuit in the fuel pump fuse.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 173,301 units affected.

Description:: Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2013-2021 NV200 Van, 2014-2017, 2019 NV200 Taxi, and 2015-2018 Chevrolet City Express vehicles. The Fuel Tank Temperature (FTT) sensor harness may have been incorrectly routed, damaging wires and causing a short circuit in the fuel pump fuse.
Consequeces:: A blown fuel pump fuse can cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and reroute the FTT sensor harness or replace the fuel pump assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's number for this recall is PMA56. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov October 10, 2025.

2017 CHEVROLET CHEVEROLET SS Complaints
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet City Express. The contact stated that while his sister’s husband was driving 65 MPH, the air bags deployed unexpectedly without impact. The contact’s sister sustained bruising to the shoulder and eardrum. In addition, the husband also sustained eardrum ringing due to the air bag deployment. No medical attention was required. No police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 122,000.;
2018 CHEVROLET CITY EXPRESS Complaints
My Airbag Readiness Light started blinking. I took vehicle to dealer for service. No trouble codes were found. Issue was found with Passenger Presence Module. Dealer advised that this is part of the seat that has been discontinued and that no repairs are available for the vehicle. I found a GM Engineering Information bulletin on your website that states the exact conditions that I am seeing with my vehicle. It instructs Technicians to replace two modules and two sensors and to send the old parts to GM Engineering for root cause analysis. But apparently, these parts have been discontinued. I now have a vehicle in which the airbag protection system may not work properly, especially to protect an occupant in the passenger seat, and there is no fix. I don't understand how a vehicle that is only six years old cannot have parts to make repairs.;
