Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024-2026 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid and 2025 Explorer hybrid

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid and 2025 Explorer hybrid police vehicles. A software error may prevent the vehicle from emitting the pedestrian warning sound at certain speeds.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 43,438 units affected.

Description:: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2026 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid and 2025 Explorer hybrid police vehicles. A software error may prevent the vehicle from emitting the pedestrian warning sound at certain speeds.
Consequeces:: A vehicle that does not produce a warning sound may fail to alert pedestrians of an approaching vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: The audio control module and digital signal processing module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 5, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SA2. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on October 10, 2025.

2025 FORD EXPLORER HYBRID Complaints
Brake system Fault - no power assist. While the Deputy was driving his vehicle every light on the dash lit up and it said all systems were not working. He stated that only brakes he had were the regenerative brakes for the electric motors. He stated that he turned the car off for 10 minutes and everything worked again. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and they are looking to replace the ABS HCU on this vehicle. Additionally we have a second one that was purchased around the same time as this one with similar issues of no power assist brakes.;
2026 LINCOLN NAUTILUS HYBRID Complaints
The contact owns a 2026 Lincoln Nautilus. The contact stated that while the contact's son was driving at an undisclosed speed and making a left, the contact's son was T-Boned by another vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was crashed into the driver's side. The contact stated that both doors on the driver's side were damaged. In addition, the middle of the vehicle on the driver's side was severely damaged. The contact stated the front driver's and rear air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle had not been inspected by the insurance. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was advised to have the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection. The failure mileage was approximately 1,550.;
