Mazda North American Operations is recalling certain 2025 CX-50 and CX-50 Hybrid vehicles. The front suspension fastener bolts may not be tightened properly, which can result in suspension component and/or wheel detachment.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,007 units affected.

Description:: Mazda North American Operations is recalling certain 2025 CX-50 and CX-50 Hybrid vehicles. The front suspension fastener bolts may not be tightened properly, which can result in suspension component and/or wheel detachment.
Consequeces:: Wheel or suspension component detachment can cause a loss of vehicle control and a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect the front suspension fastener bolts and, if necessary, replace and tighten them, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 10, 2025. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500 Option 6. The manufacturer's number for this recall is 7925J. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 3, 2025.

2025 MAZDA CX-50 Complaints
The factory adhesive/anti-flutter sealant that bonds the outer hood skin to the inner structural frame has physically separated. There is a clear gap where the outer panel is no longer attached to the frame. As a result, the outer hood skin flexes and vibrates, especially at highway speeds. Impact / Safety Concern: The vibration and movement of the outer hood panel occurs directly in the driver’s forward line of sight. This creates a visible distraction while driving and can draw attention away from the road. Because the outer skin is no longer properly bonded to the structure, the condition is progressive and may worsen over time. Dealer Response: I documented the adhesive separation on the work order. The service advisor lowered the hood insulation and photographed the panel separation. Despite clear visual evidence, the technician closed the concern as “no issue with the hood insulation” and “no fault found.” The same separation was also observed on another CX-50 at the dealership. I am filing this report so the condition can be properly documented while the vehicle remains under warranty.;
2025 MAZDA CX-50 HYBRID Complaints
On three separate occasions, while in reverse backing out of my driveway, the car failed to engage the transmission when shifting into drive, acting like it was in neutral. There were no warning lights or messages on the dashboard. The only way that I found to engage the transmission was to turn off the vehicle, turn back on, and move selector to drive. This is a safety issue as I've had cars approaching in both directions with the CX-50 behing immobilized and not able to move out of the roadway.;
