Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2024-2026 VNL vehicles

Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2024-2026 VNL (4) vehicles. The load lock clamps, located on the back of the cab, may loosen and cause the load lock bars to become unsecured.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,859 units affected.

Description:: Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2024-2026 VNL (4) vehicles. The load lock clamps, located on the back of the cab, may loosen and cause the load lock bars to become unsecured.
Consequeces:: A loose or unsecured load lock bar can result in a loss of cargo, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will replace the load lock clamps, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 18, 2025. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2512. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning November 27, 2025.

2026 VOLVO VNL (4) Complaints
The contact owns a 2026 Volvo VNL(4). The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 MPH, the message "Stop Vehicle - Apply Parking Brake Only While at Stand Still" was displayed, with three unknown warning lights were illuminated, with a continuous audible alert. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where a diagnostic machine was connected, but the computer system crashed. The cluster display, environment control, gateway, radio and entertainment, driver control, and telematic gateway modules, and the CCIOM, RIOCM, VMCU, SCIM, and DACU, all needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred two and a half hours later. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, however, before the vehicle was diagnosed, it turned off in the parking lot with the doors wide open and the key not in the ignition. With the battery saver mode activated, the vehicle rolled forward inadvertently. The contact's husband was in the bed of the vehicle and reached into the front of the vehicle and pulled the air brake, however, the vehicle failed to slow down. The brake pedal was depressed, and the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the wheel speed sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. On another occasion, while attempting to park the vehicle with the parking brake activated, the parking brake failed to engage, and the vehicle rolled forward. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated; however, the EBS module was replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to another dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The contact stated that the engineers diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the two axles might need to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,000.;
