Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023 EQB 250, 2022-2023 EQB 300 4MATIC, and EQB 350 4MATIC vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 169 units affected.

Description:: Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023 EQB 250, 2022-2023 EQB 300 4MATIC, and EQB 350 4MATIC vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.
Consequeces:: A vehicle fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Owners are advised to only charge their vehicles to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair has been completed. Vehicles previously repaired under Recall 25V050 will need to be repaired again. Dealers will update the battery management system software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 6, 2026. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2025120005. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on December 23, 2025.

BATTER RECALL FIRE SAFETY: I have a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB 250+ affected by NHTSA safety recall 26V073. Mercedes has acknowledged that the high-voltage battery can fail internally and cause a fire. I’m instructed to charge only to 80% and park outside away from structures, and Mercedes’ latest remedy requires replacement of the entire high-voltage battery. This is already a low range vehicle and limiting to max 140 miles on interstate before having to charge 45 minutes is a nightmare. I need to drive between states for work and this is just simply not feasible after doing so for months without a solution. The first recall was March 2025 with no fix.;
2023 MERCEDES-BENZ EQB 300 4MATIC Complaints
I am the owner of a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB that has been identified as being affected by the current high-voltage battery safety recall. I recently contacted my authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer regarding the recall and was informed that the recall is currently pending for my vehicle and that the permanent remedy is not expected to begin until approximately December. I understand that the interim safety guidance associated with this recall includes limiting charging to 80% and parking the vehicle outside and away from structures. I have a significant concern regarding the parking instruction. My vehicle is normally parked in an attached garage at my condominium. The garage is connected to my residence, and my HOA does not permit me to park the vehicle outside. Therefore, I do not have a practical way to comply with the instruction to park outside and away from structures. I specifically raised this issue with the service department. I was told verbally that I could continue parking the vehicle in my garage “at my discretion.”;
2023 MERCEDES-BENZ EQB 350 4MATIC Complaints
The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB-Class. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V487000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. ;
