Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Forest River Work and Play, 2024-2026 East to West Takoda, Coachmen Chaparral, 2025-2026 Shasta Phoenix, 2023-2025 Forest River Riverstone, 2022-2026 Coachmen Adrenaline, and 2025 Forest River Cedar Creek fifth wheel travel trailers. The ramp door may break away from the door frame while loading or unloading vehicles.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 515 units affected.

Description:: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Forest River Work and Play, 2024-2026 East to West Takoda, Coachmen Chaparral, 2025-2026 Shasta Phoenix, 2023-2025 Forest River Riverstone, 2022-2026 Coachmen Adrenaline, and 2025 Forest River Cedar Creek fifth wheel travel trailers. The ramp door may break away from the door frame while loading or unloading vehicles.
Consequeces:: A ramp door that breaks during use increases the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Dealers will install additional support brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 18, 2026. 2025 FOREST RIVER CEDAR CREEK Complaints
The contact owns a 2025 Forest River Cedar Creek Trailer. The contact stated that the trailer failed the annual Pennsylvania Inspection in November 2025 due to bent rear axle springs, primarily affecting the driver’s side rear axle spring assembly. The trailer was equipped with two axles. The contact stated that the springs installed on the trailer were not appropriate for the trailer weight rating. The manufacturer was notified of the failure in November 2025 and the contact had ongoing dialogue with the manufacturer about the issue. The contact stated that the manufacturer offered to replace part rather than address the underlying issue regarding the spring weight capacity and requested the contact sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA); however, the contact refused to sign the NDA. The trailer was not repaired. The contact stated that the trailer was inoperable and needed to be towed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.;
2025 FOREST RIVER RIVERSTONE Complaints
Found that two separate brake lines became disconnected from the brake units allowing all of the brake fluid to spray out and put zero pressure on the brake pads. There is a Facebook page for Riverstone owners. I found that there are a handful of other reports of similar brake failure on other Riverstone 5th wheel trailers, and some users report repeated failures. The problem seems to be a systemic one in that the brake lines are barely secured on their path from the pumping unit to the individual brakes and there is no provision to deal with the normal vibration that they experience. These are large trailer units that pose a significant risk to others when their brakes fail.;
2026 COACHMEN ADRENALINE Complaints
The contact owns a 2026 Forest River Coachmen Adrenaline. The contact stated that while using the generator to activate the A/C system, the carbon monoxide detector alarm alerted the contact's brother of possible carbon monoxide in the RV. The contact's brother attempted to wake the contact, but he was disoriented and did not wake up immediately. The contact and his brother safely exited the RV, but medical attention was not received. The RV was taken to the dealer, who determined that the generator exhaust system had failed. The contact was informed that the RV would be towed to a muffler repair shop for the exhaust system to be rerouted with a factory-modified exhaust system; however, the RV was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 500.;
