Isuzu Motors Limited (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 5500XD, 4500XD, Isuzu NRR, NPR HD, NPR XD, 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 4500HD, and Isuzu NRR EV vehicles. The chassis and/or cab wire harnesses may chafe against metal components, leading to harness failure.
The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 16,759 units affected.

- Isuzu Motors Limited (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 5500XD, 4500XD, Isuzu NRR, NPR HD, NPR XD, 2025-2027 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 4500HD, and Isuzu NRR EV vehicles. The chassis and/or cab wire harnesses may chafe against metal components, leading to harness failure.
- Consequeces:
- Harness failure may cause an engine stall or the brake lights and parking brake to fail, increasing the risk of a crash. Damaged wires may also melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
- Corrective action:
- Dealers will add additional fasteners, inspect and replace the harnesses as necessary, free of charge. This is a Phased campaign. Phase 1 will include NRR EV vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2026 to NRR EV owners. Phase 2 will include Isuzu N-Series and Chevrolet LCF Series vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed May 22, 2026 to Isuzu N-Series owners. Phase 3 will include Chevrolet LCF Series owners. Owner notification letters were mailed July 10, 2026 to Chevrolet LCF Series owners. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available.
