General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Coupe

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Coupe, Corvette ZR1X Convertible, Corvette Coupe E-Ray, Corvette Convertible E-Ray, Corvette Convertible, Corvette Coupe, 2025 Corvette E-Ray Coupe, Corvette E-Ray Convertible, Corvette Convertible, and Corvette Coupe vehicles. A software error may prevent detection of a rear turn signal light failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 32,988 units affected.

Description:: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Coupe, Corvette ZR1X Convertible, Corvette Coupe E-Ray, Corvette Convertible E-Ray, Corvette Convertible, Corvette Coupe, 2025 Corvette E-Ray Coupe, Corvette E-Ray Convertible, Corvette Convertible, and Corvette Coupe vehicles. A software error may prevent detection of a rear turn signal light failure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequeces:: The driver may be unaware that the turn signal is not working, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: The lighting control module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed May 18, 2026. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252541250. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov April 2, 2025.

2025 CHEVROLET CORVETTE Complaints
The heated seat option burned the seat right thru. It’s a fire hazard because the wiring for the heated seats burned right through the cloth seat. so you have a wire issue under a combustible material like the clothing material in a car seat.;
2026 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE E-RAY Complaints
The car will randomly start shuttering and powering down without warning. Every light imaginable on the dash is illuminated along with various pop up warnings on the DIC. When this occurs, the car will not move under its own power and it loses its ability to brake entirely. I was in the middle of an intersection this last time, thankfully a police officer was near and directed traffic around me until i was able to get the car taken to the nearest dealership. This is the third time I've had this happen, I had it looked at and they replaced an electric brake module etc but that clearly didn't work. I've read of a few other similar incidents on various forums. There aren't a lot of these cars produced so far but if there's cases already popping up, something isn't right.;

2026 CHEVROLET CORVETTE COUPE Complaints
I am writing regarding my 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 1LT and a very serious safety incident that occurred while driving on the Garden State Parkway. While driving at highway speed under normal conditions, my Corvette suddenly jerked and completely shut off without warning. The vehicle immediately lost power and became undrivable. Because there was no emergency shoulder available, I had no safe place to pull over. I was forced to coast for approximately one to two miles at very low speed while surrounded by fast moving traffic. This created an extremely dangerous situation, and I narrowly avoided multiple collisions before I was finally able to reach the side of an exit ramp. After stopping, I exited the vehicle and noticed smoke coming from the engine compartment. When I looked underneath the vehicle, there was a large pool of engine oil leaking onto the ground, and I believe I also saw oil on the side of the engine. The car had to be towed, and I was stranded on the side of the highway for hours. I also had to pay around $750 in towing expenses that I had to pay out of pocket. This incident was especially concerning because the vehicle has had multiple problems since I purchased it. These include a bracket rubbing against other components and causing damage, the air conditioning not functioning properly, and an unusually loud belt noise while driving. I purchased this vehicle brand new with the expectation that it would be reliable and safe. Instead, I have experienced repeated issues, culminating in an incident that placed my safety at high risk. I am requesting that General Motors and the dealership thoroughly investigate this vehicle and provide an appropriate resolution. Given the repeated defects and the severity of this highway failure, I am requesting an exchange for another new Corvette. I have several friends who own 2025 and earlier Corvette models and have not experienced these types of issues, which further reinforces my concerns.;
