Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6, 2023-2026 Genesis G90, 2024-2026 Hyundai Santa Fe, and Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid vehicles. The driver and passenger seat belt anchors may detach.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 294,448 units affected.

Description:: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6, 2023-2026 Genesis G90, 2024-2026 Hyundai Santa Fe, and Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid vehicles. The driver and passenger seat belt anchors may detach.
Consequeces:: A detached seat belt anchor will not adequately restrain the seat occupant, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will inspect and reinforce or replace the seat belt anchors, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning May 29, 2026. Owners may contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 and Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's numbers for this recall are 298 and 032G. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov April 8, 2026.

2025 HYUNDAI IONIQ 6 Complaints
Accelerator stopped working on the highway. Dash displayed an electrical system warning and speed dropped to a crawl. The hazard came from being on an interstate at night and the closing speed for everyone behind us. Fortunately we were by an exit and could drive in the shoulder at 25 mph to it. Vehicle was towed to Stew Hansen Hyundai in Clive, IA. 12-volt battery, ICU and high-voltage fuse were replaced. My VIN did not appear in NHTSA recall lookup results for this issue.;
2026 HYUNDAI SANTA FE HYBRID Complaints
The Driver Attention sensor cannot be turned off. In a recent trip it engaged a dozen times over a one hour ride, a ride I was completely fully alert for. I find the warning itself to be a safety issue and very distracting while I'm trying to drive and follow a map to have it constantly be going off. A simple software update to provide ability to turn it off would resolve this and there are hundreds of similar complaints about this that I can find in message boards. Unacceptable.;
