Chrysler is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 1,076,999 units affected.

Description:: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.
Consequeces:: A vehicle fire increases the risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, until their vehicle is repaired. Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring and electric hydraulic power steering pump, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 9, 2026. Owners may contact FCA US LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US LLC's number for this recall is 21D. The Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on June 11, 2026.

2025 JEEP GLADIATOR Complaints
UConnect systems. Have to pull over to reboot infotainment system by opening/closing doors and turning on/off. It does not always work. Can’t read maps, speed, temperature, and radio info. It’s the brains of the vehicle. It’s been worked on by Jeep Dealership 2 different times. Last visit has been over 2 months at the Dealership. The dealership has no fix to the issues. They said Jeep is aware of the issues but there is no date for fixing/software updates. Looking on line this issue has been since 2024 jeep gladiator. They say on line it’s been fixed for newer models. My model is 2025. I’ve called customer care for jeep my case number is #[XXX] ( Arika, agent). 2025 JEEP WRANGLER Complaints
My Jeep is in limp mode and won’t go further than a mile before the power steering shuts down and the vehicle won’t move. I bought the vehicle used in March 2026 and took it to a local dealership to have the blind spot monitor system looked at and I was never made aware of any recalls. & now I will probably have to tow my vehicle out of pocket to the dealership to have it fixed.;
2025 JEEP WRANGLER 4XE Complaints
The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V710000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.;
