2026 CADILLAC ESCALADE IQL Complaints
# NHTSA Complaint – 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL My 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL has experienced repeated "Service High Voltage System" warnings despite multiple warranty repair attempts involving the A/C/high-voltage thermal-management system. The vehicle is currently at an authorized Cadillac dealership and is available for inspection if requested. The problem first occurred in May 2026 at approximately 9,378 miles. The vehicle displayed "Service High Voltage System," "Maximum charge is limited to 69%," and "One-Pedal Driving Unavailable." The dealer documented DTC P0534, evacuated the refrigerant, flushed and recharged the A/C system, performed vehicle-wide programming, cleared the code, road-tested the vehicle, and returned it as operating properly. The problem recurred. On June 5, 2026, the vehicle was returned with "Service High Voltage System" displayed again. The dealer documented DTC P1C01, "NO OUTPUT FROM AC COMPRESSOR" and "INTERNAL OPEN IN COMPRESSOR MOTOR." The dealer replaced the A/C compressor and necessary parts, recharged the R-1234yf system, cleared the DTC, road-tested the vehicle, and documented proper operation. On August 8, 2026, "Service High Voltage System" appeared again while the vehicle was approximately three hours from home. Because the same high-voltage warning had returned after multiple prior repairs, including replacement of the A/C compressor, we did not feel comfortable driving the vehicle approximately three hours home. The problem was reported to Cadillac that day. The dealer retrieved the vehicle on August 13, and it remains at the dealership. My safety concern is the recurrence of a high-voltage system warning and previous charging restriction despite multiple dealer repair attempts. The repeated fault raises concern about the vehicle's ability to operate and charge reliably, particularly during travel. Prior occurrences were confirmed by an authorized Cadillac dealer, and the vehicle is currently available for inspection.;

2026 CHEVROLET SILVERADO EV Complaints
What component failed: The “regen on demand” switch broke while using it. Safety: This incident put me, the occupants of my vehicle (my children), and the vehicles around me at risk. Reproduction: There was no need. It is exceptional obvious that the switch is broken and has failed. Inspection: The truck and broken switch were observed by the dealership that services the truck. Warnings: There were no precursors to the failure. Narrative: On Thursday, 7/16/26, I was driving my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV. I normally drive in “single pedal drive” mode which provides energy recovery in lieu of mechanical braking. Additionally, I use the “on demand regeneration” for additional slowing and energy recovery. On demand regeneration is somewhere between single pedal drive and mechanical brakes. During this drive I was coming up to stopped traffic and slowing using the regen on demand switch. The switch snapped / broke and the additional slowing / energy recovery stopped instantly. I had to immediately apply the brakes in order to remain a safe distance from the vehicles in front of me. While I am able to safely operate the vehicle without this function, the manner in which the failure occurred is concerning and should be investigated. I am happy to speak with anyone who needs more information.;

2026 GMC SIERRA EV Complaints
Component/system malfunctioned: Adaptive Cruise Control integrated with Traffic Sign Recognition/Speed Limit Assist (camera-based speed sign detection and automatic speed adjustment). Vehicle available for inspection upon request. While driving ~35 mph in 35 mph zones with Adaptive Cruise Control engaged, the system repeatedly misread speed signs (or GPS data) as much higher (e.g., 75 mph). The vehicle then automatically accelerated aggressively toward the incorrect higher speed without driver accelerator input. Acceleration is sudden and strong due to electric powertrain torque. This problem can be reproduced in multiple locations in low-speed zones. Safety risk: Vehicle sped up dangerously in restricted areas (residential, traffic, pedestrians), risking loss of control or collision before I could brake or disengage system. No crash/injury occurred, but risk was high. Problem not reproduced/confirmed by dealer or service center. Vehicle/component not inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance, or others. No warning lamps/messages/symptoms before acceleration; dashboard briefly showed incorrect higher limit. First occurrence UNKNOWN, but multiple incidents since ownership. Appears to be defect in software, camera recognition, or integration of Traffic Sign Recognition with Adaptive Cruise Control, causing unintended high-speed acceleration in low-speed areas.;
