CAN-AM SPYDER RT Recalls

Sep 07, 2026 – Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Can-Am Origin, Can-Am Pulse, 2025-2027 Can-Am Canyon, 2024-2027 Can-Am Spyder RT, and Can-Am Spyder F3 motorcycles equipped with a touchscreen instrument cluster. The instrument cluster may reset, freeze, or go blank. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 123, "Motorcycle Control and Displays," and FMVSS number 122, "Motorcycle Brake Systems."

Sep 30, 2024 – Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Can-Am Spyder F3 and RT motorcycles. The engine output shaft may fatigue and break, resulting in a loss of drive power.

Mar 17, 2023 – Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Spyder RT and 2022-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The brake lights may stay illuminated even if the brake pedal is not pressed. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and associated Equipment."

May 18, 2022 – Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Can-Am Spyder F3 and RT motorcycles. The front sprocket may be defective and prematurely wear, resulting in a loss of drive power.

Mar 27, 2020 – Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2020 Can-Am Spyder RT motorcycles. During emergency braking situations, the support which holds the brake mechanism could break, causing a total loss of braking ability.

May 12, 2017 – Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2017 Can Am Spyder RT motorcycles. Due to a manufacturing error within the headlight assembly, the headlight may shine too high when on the low beam setting. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and associated Equipment."

Feb 19, 2015 – Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling all model year 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT motorcycles. Prolonged idling or slow speed riding in warmer temperatures may result very high temperatures in the engine compartment.

Aug 28, 2013 – Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain model year 2013 Can-Am Spyder RT series and ST series motorcycles. The tandem brake master cylinder manifold inlet may melt allowing the brake fluid to leak out.

Dec 12, 2012 – Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain model year 2008-2012 Can-Am Spyder GS, RS, and RT series vehicles. The fuel cap may not fit onto the fuel tank filler neck, preventing it from sealing properly.

Apr 11, 2012 – BOMBARDIER RECREATIONAL PRODUCTS INC. (BRP) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 SPYDER RT ROADSTERS. A PIN SECURING THE BRAKE PEDAL CONNECTING ROD COULD DISENGAGE AND FALL OFF.
