HME SFO Recalls

Oct 11, 2021 – HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Ahrens-Fox model 34 Type 3, Rescue, Pumper, Tanker, Aerial, CommFox, WolfSA Tanker, 1871-SFO, 1871-W, 1871-Spectr, and AF1 fire trucks. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot boreholes, allowing the high-pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

Apr 22, 2021 – HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain 2013-2021 AF1, 1871, and SFO vehicles. Insufficient voltage and/or cracked wiring insulation may cause the aerial controls system to fail.

Feb 24, 2020 – HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain 2016-2020 AF1, 1871 and SFO emergency vehicles. The fuse box may be missing an O-Ring seal, potentially allowing moisture or contaminants into the fuse box.

Oct 12, 2017 – HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain 2015 Silverfox SFO fire emergency trucks equipped with certain Spicer D or E series steer axles. The castellated nut on the steer axles may not be properly torqued, allowing the tie rod to loosen.

Jan 05, 2016 – HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling one 2015 SFO fire service chassis vehicle manufactured on July 31, 2015 and equipped with a drive axle manufactured by Marmon-Herrington. The affected axle may have hex nuts on the flange yoke that may not have been properly tightened.

May 28, 2004 – CERTAIN SEAT BELT BUCKLES ON SOME MOTOR HOMES FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE LOAD REQUIREMENT OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 209, "SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES."
