IC BUS CECB Recalls

Jul 16, 2026 – International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2027 IC Bus CECB transit buses. The driver's window panel and entrance door vertical joints may have been attached without sufficient epoxy coverage. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 221, "School Bus Body Joint Strength."

Dec 18, 2025 – International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026 IC Bus CECB buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

Sep 25, 2025 – International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2026 IC Bus CECB commercial buses. The weld on the crank shaft assembly may fail, preventing the the left-side wiper from working.

Sep 25, 2025 – International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2026 IC Bus CECB commercial buses. A tire may contact and damage the air dryer discharge line, causing an air leak and the unintentional activation of the parking brake.

Aug 06, 2025 – International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2018 International 4000 Series 4300, 2017-2025 MV, 2018-2024 1300 FBC, 2018-2025 IC Bus TC, and 2024-2025 IC Bus CECB vehicles. The brake pressure switch assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch's electrical components and cause an electrical short-circuit.

Mar 20, 2025 – International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025 IC Bus CECB buses equipped with halogen headlights. When the high beams are activated, the low beams turn off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Feb 08, 2024 – Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2024 International HX, LT, RH and 2024-2025 International HV, MV trucks and 2024 IC Bus CE commercial buses. The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.

Sep 27, 2012 – Navistar is recalling certain model year 2006 through 2010 IC transit buses, models 3300, 3200IM, CECB, FCCB, FECB, HCCB, RCCB, and RECB, manufactured from March 16, 2005, through February 24, 2009, equipped with I-6 engines within feature codes 12N (PL, PM, PN, PR, PS, PT, PU, PV, SA, SG, SK, SL, SM, SV, SZ, TB, UA, UB, UC, and UD). The high pressure engine oil line may develop a leak or possibly rupture.

Jan 13, 2010 – NAVISTAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2003 AND 2004 IC BUS CE MODEL COMMERCIAL BUSES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN JANUARY 3, 2003, AND APRIL 5, 2004. THERE MAY BE CHAFFING BETWEEN THE BATTERY AND/OR THE ENGINE ECM CLEAN POWER CABLES AND THE PARKING BRAKE CABLE WHICH MAY RESULT IN AN ELECTRICAL SHORT.

Feb 27, 2008 – INTERNATIONAL IS RECALLING 34,993 MY 2006-2008 SCHOOL AND TRANSIT BUSES AND HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS/TRACTORS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN JUNE 1, 2006 AND JUNE 28, 2007, EQUIPPED WITH INTERNATIONAL DT466 OR DT570 ENGINES. THE BASE PLATE OF THE ENGINE OIL COOLER MAY CRACK ALLOWING PRESSURIZED OIL TO LEAK INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.
