RECALL FOR AIR BAGS : FRONTAL : SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE-INACTIVE
ON CERTAIN PICKUP AND UTILITY TRUCKS, SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE AN AIR BAG SENSING DIAGNOSTIC MODULE (SDM) WHICH CONTAINS AN ANOMALY THAT COULD RESULT IN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER'S AIR BAG FAILING TO DEPLOY DURING CERTAIN FRONTAL CRASHES.

OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-222-1020 OR GMC AT 1-800-462-8782. |

I drive a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD and love it. Bought it with over 60,000 miles on it, now it has over 234,500 miles on it. It has only had to be towed twice. First time was fuel system. The 2nd time was the waterpump- over a year later. Its been a great truck and I'm going to see if it can handle me beating on it until it hits 300,000 miles
