DUECO Inc. (DUECO), a manufacturer of utility vehicles, is recalling certain Dueco-modified model year 2009-2011 International 4300, 2010 International 4400, 2009 and 2011 International 7400, 2010 Freightliner M2, 2008-2009 GMC C5500, and 2011 Ford F-750 vehicles, equipped with Sure Power DC-DC converters containing a particular epoxy sealing, aka 'potting', compound. The specific potting compound used in the subject products for insulation was found to be capable of conducting electricity after being exposed to heat.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 34 units affected.

Description:: DUECO Inc. (DUECO), a manufacturer of utility vehicles, is recalling certain Dueco-modified model year 2009-2011 International 4300, 2010 International 4400, 2009 and 2011 International 7400, 2010 Freightliner M2, 2008-2009 GMC C5500, and 2011 Ford F-750 vehicles, equipped with Sure Power DC-DC converters containing a particular epoxy sealing, aka 'potting', compound. Consequeces:: Once electrically conductive, the material is capable of melting and burning, increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective action:: DUECO will notify owners, and Sure Power will replace the converters, free of charge. The recall began on May 29, 2014. Owners may contact Dueco at 1-800-558-4004.

The transmission lines where it connects to the radiator are leaking just like on the recall there is for the 2014 and up years of the freightliner m2 business class;
2011 FORD F-750 Complaints
THIS VEHICLE WAS USED AS A MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT FOR RESEARCH. TWO STAFF MEMBERS WERE IN THE CAB EN ROUTE TO A STUDY VISIT - BOTH WERE FAMILIAR DRIVERS OF THE VEHICLE. APPROXIMATELY 9 MILES INTO THE TRIP A PASSERBY ON THE INTERSTATE FLAGGED US DOWN AND WANTED US TO PULL OVER AND INFORMED US THAT THE BACK WHEELS WERE ON FIRE. WITHOUT THE PASSERBY, WE WOULD NOT HAVE KNOW ANYTHING WAS WRONG. THERE WERE NO INDICATOR LIGHT WARNINGS AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT SEEM TO BE DRIVING DIFFERENT THAN USUAL. WE PULLED OVER, CALLED 911 FOR ASSISTANCE AND USED A FIRE EXTINGUISHER WE HAD ON BOARD TO DOUSE THE FLAMES. TWO OTHER TRUCKERS STOPPED AND ASSISTED US, BRINGING THEIR FIRE EXTINGUISHERS TO OUR AID. THE LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND GOT THE FIRE COMPLETELY EXTINGUISHED. THE VEHICLE HAS A DIESEL POWERED ENGINE AND AIR BRAKES. IT ALSO HAS A HYDRAULIC LEVELING SYSTEM TO STABILIZE THE UNIT WHILE AT STUDY VISITS. THERE WERE TWO LOUD POPPING NOISES WITHIN MINUTES OF EACH OTHER AT ONE POINT. THE PARTICULAR VIN FOR THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE ANY RECALLS, BUT I HAVE READ ABOUT 2 RECALLS THAT INVOLVE AIR BRAKES ON FORD F750 2011 VEHICLES. 2011 INTERNATIONAL 4300 Complaints
NUMEROUS STALLING EVENTS HAVE BEEN OCCURRING ON THIS ROLLBACK IH4300. EVENTS OCCUR ON THE FREEWAY, FOUR-LANE DIVIDED HIGHWAYS, EXITING PARKING LOTS, AND PULLING INTO INTERSECTIONS. SOME EVENTS HAVE LEFT THE VEHICLE PARTIALLY ON THE ROADWAY OR IN AN INTERSECTION. SOME TIMES WARNING LIGHTS THAT DO NOT SEEM TO APPLY ARE ILLUMINATED.
