PJ's Truck Bodies & Equipment Co., is recalling certain 2009-2013 Ford F-350

PJ's Truck Bodies & Equipment Co., (PJ's) is recalling certain 2009-2013 Ford F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty chassis modified by PJ's and equipped with certain Muncie Power Products PTO Assemblies. In the affected vehicles, oil may leak from the PTO pressure switch onto a thermal blanket covering the exhaust.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 3 units affected.

Description:: PJ's Truck Bodies & Equipment Co., (PJ's) is recalling certain 2009-2013 Ford F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty chassis modified by PJ's and equipped with certain Muncie Power Products PTO Assemblies. In the affected vehicles, oil may leak from the PTO pressure switch onto a thermal blanket covering the exhaust.
Consequeces:: The leaking oil may soak into the thermal blanket covering the exhaust, which when combined with heat from exhaust, may result in an increased risk of fire.
Corrective action:: PJ's has notified owners and dealers will install a new pressure switch kit that moves the switch away from the exhaust system, free of charge. The recall began on August 28, 2014. Owners may contact PJ's customer service at 1-866-475-8782.

2013 FORD F-350 Complaints
Driving along at 70 mph and just crossed a bridge and met the asphalt when all of a sudden the steering wheel shook violently & almost caused a fatal accident. Tractor trailer & cars swung to avoid me. Went to pull out onto expressway & at 15 mph & the rumble strips along the right shoulder caused it to shake again tremendously. This vehicle has had at least 8 episodes with the death wobble.This vehicle was taken in to a Ford dealership on December 3, 2025 and was supposed to be fixed entirely. Someone is going to be killed until Ford realizes the problem.Please act on this issue. I have reported these incidents three-times to you folks with out hearing back.;
2013 FORD F-450 Complaints
While driving my truck down the highway it will violently shake until I brake below 40 MPH. This occurs when there is a change in surface on the roadway. An example is going over a bridge or rough pavement. It has happened several times in the past year, and most recently last weekend while my wife was with me. We were driving on a major interstate at 65 MPH, maintaining a single lane when the truck went into a "death wobble." The front end shook so violently, it became a safety risk for our lives as well as other drivers. It was extremely difficult to maintain the steering until the truck stopped shaking. My wife no longer feels safe driving the vehicle. In the past, we have taken it to a local mechanic and I was advised they were not able to find an issue. We have purchased new tires and taken them to the Ford dealership to balance and align. We check the tire pressure regulary, and had an alignment done, though the violent shaking is getting worse, rather than better, when it happens. The truck gives no prior warning when this occurs. I don't see any form of recall for this issue, and a forum only advises buying an after market component to fix it. I want the truck fixed correctly, with Ford parts, as my intent was to keep it for several more years.;
2013 FORD F-550 Complaints
At 05:58 this morning the garage received a phone call from Roadside assistance regarding a vehicle fire on the unit. Spoke with the operator to verify his safety and inquire as to what happened. He stated he was driving down highway 99 at approx.70mph when he heard a loud pop, reduce engine power light came on, low fuel pressure light came on, smelled diesel, then unit caught fire before he could get pulled off.;
