Cummings Mobility Conversion & Supply is recalling certain model year 2006-2014 Ford E-150

Cummings Mobility Conversion & Supply (Cummings) is recalling certain model year 2006-2014 Ford E-150, E-250, E-350, Chevrolet Express, 2006-2008 Dodge Sprinter, and 2009-2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and 2013 Ford Transit Connect vehicles manufactured January 1, 2006, to October 8, 2014, equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts manufactured by Ricon Corporation after January 1, 2006. The platform side plate of the affected wheelchair lifts may crack.

The recall was influenced by the Office of Defects Investigation with about 34 units affected.

Description:: Cummings Mobility Conversion & Supply (Cummings) is recalling certain model year 2006-2014 Ford E-150, E-250, E-350, Chevrolet Express, 2006-2008 Dodge Sprinter, and 2009-2014 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and 2013 Ford Transit Connect vehicles manufactured January 1, 2006, to October 8, 2014, equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts manufactured by Ricon Corporation after January 1, 2006. The platform side plate of the affected wheelchair lifts may crack.
Consequeces:: If the platform side plates crack, the lift platform can separate from the lift and come to rest against the vehicle's lift door. When the doors are opened, the platform may fall out, increasing the risk of injury to the lift operator.
Corrective action:: Cummings will notify owners to take buses to a Ricon dealer or service center who will install supplemental platform support bumpers. Any platform that has already started cracking will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began January 13, 2015. Owners may contact Cumming's customer service at 1-800-639-5438 or Ricon customer service at 1-800-322-2884. Cumming's number for this recall is 14E-041.

2008 DODGE SPRINTER 3500 Complaints
We've had multiple issues with starting the vehicle. After number attempts to eradicate the issue, I Google searched the problems and found that the y connect harness from battery to alternator and starter had been remanufactured for improvement 3 times. I'm uncertain why this part did not have a recall for my vehicle. Mercedes manufacturer for our motor should be responsible for this issue since there have been so many reported issues with this part. Can you please evaluate the complaint and advise.;
2013 FORD TRANSIT CONNECT Complaints
The Front Suspension Subframe Crossmember had rusted though and the front tires become out of alignment SUDDENLY causing the vehicle to veer of course. The vehicle is then disabled and must be towed and the Front Suspension Subframe Crossmember has to be replaced.;

ON DELIVERY GASOLINE LEAKED FROM FILLER TUBE.DEALER FINALLY REPAIRED FILLER TUBE AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. LEAK HAS RECURRED AND GASOLINE LEAKS ONTO VEHICLE AND GROUND DURING REFUELING.;
2014 FORD E-150 Complaints
THE VAN WANDERS BACK AND FORTH AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (> 60MPH). I HAD THE FRONT END ALIGNMENT AND SUSPENSION CHECKED OUT - ALL OK. PROBLEM GETS WORSE WHEN PULLING A 5000 LB CAMPER - ALMOST A SAFETY ISSUE.;
2014 FORD E-250 Complaints
The contact owns a 2014 Ford E-250. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle suddenly fishtailed, causing the rear passenger side of the vehicle to crash into an unknown object. The contact indicated that the vehicle would only operate in limp mode after the crash. After switching back to the drive position, the vehicle operated normally. During the crash, no injuries were reported, and no police report was filed. The contact used a scanner to determine that the PCU had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The contact also discovered that electrical wires in the vehicle were damaged by rodents. A Number 6 Injector Wire was chewed out by rodents, and the contact independently replaced the wire however, the vehicle continued to misfire. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered and was referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The manufacturer was aware that there was a software issue with the PCU and that it was a known failure, and the contact was concerned due to Ford acknowledging there was a fatality due to this known failure. The failure mileage was unknown.;
