Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2016 F-150 and Explorer vehicles

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016 F-150 and Explorer vehicles. Loose power seat adjuster pivot bolts may cause the front seat cushions to detach and not properly restrain the seat occupant in the event of a crash.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 177,264 units affected.

Description:: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016 F-150 and Explorer vehicles. Loose power seat adjuster pivot bolts may cause the front seat cushions to detach and not properly restrain the seat occupant in the event of a crash.
Consequeces:: In the event of a crash, a seat occupant that is not properly restrained has an increased risk of injury.
Corrective action:: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tightness of the power seat track upper pivot link bolt, either applying threadlocker or replacing the lift link and hardware, free of charge. Interim letters are expected to go out January 15, 2018. Owners will receive a second notice when the remedy becomes available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. 2016 FORD EXPLORER Complaints
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Explorer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V347000 (Structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle and the contact were informed that the B-pillar trim needed to be replaced. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available and that only half of the B-pillar trim could be replaced. The dealer stated that the remaining part needed to be provided by the manufacturer. The dealer informed the contact that parts might to available April of 2027. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure.;
2016 FORD F-150 Complaints
In April of this year my 2016 F150 began having issues related to the automatic transmission. Symptoms included unexpected and irregular downshifting from 6th gear into 4th gear while traveling on the highway, random and irregular shifting from gear to gear, and not gearing down below 3rd gear when coming to a complete stop. While these symptoms were happening the truck displayed the MIL and powertrain warning lamp. These issues put myself and others at risk because having the vehicle unexpectedly downshift while traveling at a high speed causes the vehicle to become difficult to control, increasing the risk of a crash. It is also difficult for the vehicle to increase speed in a timely and safe manner when it is starting out in 3rd gear. In May I received a recall notice from Ford, eventually in July having the dealer closest to me perform a PCM software upgrade. While waiting for Ford to make this software upgrade available I received a notice from Ford referencing Customer Satisfaction Program 26N04. This notice states that if my vehicle set a MIL and/or powertrain warning light (which my vehicle did both) I may need to get the transmission molded leadframe replaced as part of this recall program. When I picked up my vehicle from servicing dealership I was informed my vehicle "did not have the appropriate code" to warrant this repair. However, the software upgrade performed has done nothing to fix the problem I am experiencing. My vehicle still downshifts randomly and unexpectedly while displaying a powertrain warning light, and making my vehicle unsafe for highway travel.;
