Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Tiffin Allegro RED, Allegro Open Road, Breeze, Bus, Phaeton, and Zephyr motorhomes. The entry door on these vehicles may have been improperly assembled, allowing the door to open while the vehicle is moving.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 1,223 units affected.

Description:: Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Tiffin Allegro RED, Allegro Open Road, Breeze, Bus, Phaeton, and Zephyr motorhomes. The entry door on these vehicles may have been improperly assembled, allowing the door to open while the vehicle is moving.
Consequeces:: If the door comes open while the motorhome is moving, there is an increased risk of injury to the motorhome occupants.
Corrective action:: Tiffin will notify owners, and dealers will adjust the door lock mechanism, free of charge. The recall began on June 18, 2018. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661. Tiffin's number for this recall is TIF-110.

2019 TIFFIN ALLEGRO RED Complaints
TIRE VALVE EXTENSION FAIL CAUSING VALVE STEMS TO RUB AGAINST THE WHEELS. I HAVE 2 THAT ALMOST RUBBED THROUGH AND HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO REINSERT THE STABILIZER IN THE HOLE. I CURRENTLY HAVE THE NEW STABILIZERS ON ORDER BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO UPDATE BY THE DEALER AS TO WHEN THEY WILL ARRIVE. I'M CURRENTLY AT A RV CAMPGROUND IN TUCSON AND WAS DISCUSSING THIS ISSUE WITH 2 OTHER TIFFIN OWNERS ON EACH SIDE OF ME. UPON LOOKING AT THEIR MOTORHOMES, BOTH HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. ONE OWNER HAD A FLAT BUT WAS UNAWARE OF RECALL 18V-194, WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE OUR MODELS.*DT*DT*JB;
2019 TIFFIN BREEZE Complaints
DEF sensor was faulty and could have caused vehicle to not exceed 5MPH. If it had happened on an interstate or other major highway, it would be a major safety concern! The DEF sensor had to be replaced. My understanding is that this can also be caused by surpassing the DEF fluid "shelf life" and, unlike diesel trucks, motorhomes are often stationary for extended periods. The failure was indicated by warning lights in the dash. If the DEF sensor goes bad in a motorhome, the engine should still perform until the sensor can be repaired or replaced. The 5MPH limitation is a SAFETY HAZARD!;

DEF head failure at 7,000 miles. Engine derated on highway, went into limp mode.;
2019 TIFFIN PHAETON Complaints
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTAE THE CARGO DOOR SKIN BLEW OFF. THE DOOR IS APPROXIMATELY 48' X 28" THIS COULD HAVE GONE THRU A WINDSHEILD AND CAUSED A FATAL ACIDENT. THIS HAS BEEN KNOWED THAT TIFFIN USED DEFECTIVE GLUE IN 2019' BUT THEY HAVE NOT MADE A RECALL, THEY HAVE CORRECTED SEVERAL OTHER VEHICLES BUT NOT ALL OF THEM MANUFACTURED WITH THE DEFECTIVE GLUE. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR ANYTHING VISIBLE TO US BEFORE DRIVING ON THE ROAD.;
